I'm probably the secondary's biggest critic but Davis and Smith have had to grow up real fast and add the POOR safety help to the equation
and you have a recipe for failure.

That being said we have two bright young stars in the making and within the next few seasons we should see those results.

I really fear for Davis this weekend going up against the best receiver in football. Johnson must get doubled on every single passing down if we want any chance of limiting him.

Lets not rely on one step late Wilson to help double team Johnson. This is the time to see if Chris Clemons is as fast as his 40 time.

Like every rookie CB, Davis gets picked on, and will give up some plays. But he's shown me enough to believe he will be a star in this league.

It seems Davis plays much better against big time WR's, Its almost like he knosw he doesn't wanna get beat. I think he will do fine against AJ. He has hown me great things this year and I really respect him at CB

can we stop leaving him on an island every damn play of every game?
i agree the guy is a rookie and he covering the best WR of every team and having to cover him with no saftey help because Sean Smith needs all the saftey help

I'm all for Gibril Wilson getting a big off-season spanking (hopefully an axe chop instead) but I don't think it's "the time to SEE IF Chris Clemons is as fast as his 40 time". As bad as Wilson has been you could see worse if you throw in Clemons full time there. And yes I do think it is possible to see worse.

The chemistry, even though no where near great currently with our safeties, you have to assume there will be miss communications throwing him in there. But yes along with many of you it is painful to watch Wilson out there wondering to yourself "does he know what the job of the safety is?"

Too big of a game to make a change like that IMO.

There is a reason why the Dolphins are giving up big play after big play and it's not just VD, Sean Smith or the Gerbil. It is a combination of all three. Some of you guys are so quick to deflect any blame on Davis that you invent ways to blame Wilson or Smith.

When you have 2 rookies starting at CB, this is the result. Davis has been toasted on several plays this year but has made up for it with 3 interceptions. Smith is much better in coverage but his weakness is tackling. Wilson sometimes seems lost but you have to wonder how much is it due to missed assignments on the rookies.

The secondary is playing better but still has a ways to go.
