Too many negative threads on here,so here's one where you can post what you liked about the game, no dis-likes, plenty of threads for that. Me personally I liked the game in general, I felt we were in the game for most of it. I really didn't see us as an underdog at all. Which for me makes me feel pretty good against the SB champions. :dolphins:

I am proud we stood toe to toe with the world champs for 57 minutes..we WILL fix things..so much is new and akward right now... by midseason..we will be formidable.

I liked our running game when we were using it. Ronnie Brown, after being stuffed on much of his runs, was starting to rip off chunks of yardage.

I liked our defensive line (especially Tractor Traylor). They're ****ing nasty.

I liked Daunte as well up until we got one dimensional. And, needless to say, I loved Wes Welker.

EDIT: Oh, and by the way, anybody remember how the Heat played at the beginning of the season with all of those new faces and a new coach at the helm? Remember what they did later on when they finally gelled?

Yeah, I'm proud of our team. We had them beat until a few stupid mistakes. Positives I saw from the game:

1. Wes Welker, he really broke out this game and showed exactly what he can do. Great job on the returns and he's so dangerous after the catch.
2. Duante played well (minus the late int's and a few low thrown balls)
3. Will Allen, Great job of tackles and coverage. He was a great pickup.
etc.......

I think we can all be really positive. This game will only serve to motivate them more. Obviously it takes some time to develop chemistry as a team and from here we are only going to get better and better. If this is the worst they play all season, then we are in for a real show.

Anyone think Wes will get a TD sooner than later after last night. Its a coming.
We did go toe to toe with them and IMO we lost the game more than they won it. If the ball is in our hands then its ours to lose and we did just that. Shame but we will get better and the AFC East will be ours to lose.

Wes Welker!! Wes Welker!! Wes Welker!!

Give me 1000 Wes Welkers and I could take over the world!!

I posted this in another thread, but I didn't see any false start penalties from the OL.

I liked alot of things from last night, Pep played very well with the exception of the 2 picks. Brown is going to have a great year, he was starting to get the run going. Also he picked up some great blocks to save Pep. I am still on the fins bandwagon, they will have a great season.

the way i see it, the game was like a boxing 12 round boxing match. for 11 rounds we were going blow to blow with pittsburg, and they just capitalized on our mistakes when it counted. i see the glass half full, for most of the game culpepper was throwing good on their secondary. there were a couple of dropped passes that might have made a different. remember lets not take anything away from the steelers they have a stud defense, and that is the reason they won the superbowl, playing on the road the whole playoff run. remember polamalu is an all pro safety. not many safeties have that speed to go from half the field and intercept the pass to wide open chambers. on most safeties that pass is completed to chambers and his off to the races. before the game i thought it was going to be a tough game. i am a big fan of the dolphins and i do wathc football. and i told my friends that their is obviously a chance for us to win the game, but if we don't i hope we fight blow to blow and not get our a**es handed to us. and i think for the most part we die. remember it was opening game, on the road with a hostile crowd. atleast we fought for the most part. the turning point was definately on lehan's hands to the face. if that doesn't happen they punt the ball and who knows what happens. also remember guys i think the steelers is the toughest defense we are going to face all year. imagine what culpepper could do once they gel together(being this was the first full game of the offense playing together). there are 15 games left and i am certain we will bounce back. real dolphins fans keep your heads up. i could have gone either way.

Culpepper needs more game time to get comfortable, he started slow, got better in the second and third quarters, but when we HAD to pass he threw the game killer INT to Porter.

I think the offense will be fine, the OL needs to run block better, but they did a good job on pass protection most of the time. The defense made several mental errors, but having Daniels back will help, and Saban will get the mental errors corrected, or guys will be cut.

Wes was on fire most of the game, great job by a guy who looked like he might be on the bubble as far as making the team! Seems funny now, huh?

The Lehan, hands to the face penalty, was the killer play for momentum. The game turned on that play. :tantrum:

I still expect the Dolphins to be 3-1 when the face the Pats, and if they win that, they'll be 6-1 at the bye week. :dolphins:

i enjoyed it when the clock went to zero so my suffering could end!

welker was the man. besides the back-to-back automatic first down calls against us that we couldn't shake off, i thought we did pretty good. daunte surprised me. i didn't think he was that confident with his knee.

Welker was awesome

Traylor played very well.

Ronnie ran very hard.

i was very happy how our team played, we put up great amounts of yards against a very good defense, daunte was awesome until late in the 4th(he was probably tired, had not gone past the second quarter until last night, and he threw more than he thought he would have to)

will allen was allen was awesome, traylor and taylor rocked, getting daniels next week will be a huge boost

ronnie was getting stuffed in the first half, but in the second he was getting some good yards, i think we should have tried to run more, as does a lot of people also think

i mean we stood up to pittsburgh and knocked them in the mouth, saban will get the kinks worked out and we will bounce back and beat buffalo next week, the pats fans on here were full of crap whne they said the dolphins did not look like a threat
