Let's roll with a little transparency here.... stop the manipulation please...

It starts with Ross and his feeble attempt to lure another coach to the Dolphins while his HC was still employed.... His lack of understanding regarding the media microscope that is todays NFL was kindergartenesque....

The trouble with what Ross did then... is about to cause a lot of trouble for what is about to become foremost (along with a QB) for the Dolphins future....

Can he be trusted?

Ross is giving the lame duck TS a lot of rope.... most of which is wrapped around his neck at this time.... you KNOW the "advisors" are telling Ross he needs to show respect to TS in order to help assuage the fears of any quality HC candidate..... Ross can't afford to look anything but pristine as an owner in order for the Dolphins organization to entertain the likes of ... put your favorite HC here.

Ross still has a few feathers showing around his mouth... how he handles TS's exit will play a huge roll in the interest of the "next"...

TS is done... the players know this... and as the media points out..... they are thisclose... to playing for themselves... well I'm here to say... it's ON...

They are not playing for TS.... they are not playing for their position coach.... they are not playing for the other lame duck Ireland.... and they are NOT playing for each other..... it's all about putting good film out there... and will be for as long as they stay healthy for those on the NFL bubble.... which by the way is the majority of the team.... the pro's on the team will step forward.... they know how to play the "next coach" game... or limp off and save their bodies for next year....

And thank goodness lady luck (not suck for Luck) has taken care of the QB mess.... CH can now just drift off the roster at some point in the off-season... He'll never be the "next" HC's QB....

And then there's the mystery man Carl in Ross's ear... is he an impediment.... because it's hard to view him as an asset in regards to the process of hiring the next HC.... a lurker in the shadows that needs to GO AWAY.

It's not like you have to dig deep...... you only have the scratch the surface to see how distitute the Dolphins are from top to bottom.... it's a grease fire of epic proportions....

Another sad season for the Dolphins.... we can only play the spoiler... and like you... I'll watch every game...

At least the off-season will be full of anticipation....

This is exactly why I had such a gloomy outlook of the season ahead and predicted 5-11.

You can't do what Ross did and expect anything good to come of it. You can't court a high-profile college coach PUBLICALLY without first firing your current head coach. The players see it Sparano sees it. It's embarrassing. Negative publicity. The players then lose respect for Tony who takes it on the chin...and then accepts an extension.

Just an all-around dumpster fire of a situation. Incredible. I couldn't believe what we were seeing from our owner.

Maybe this was some evil genius plan by Ross. Maybe he knew what would happen by pulling this stunt and he knew we'd be in the running for a franchise QB that we so desperately need today. Maybe Gruden is who he wanted all along and knew he'd need another year to get him and he used his friend Harbaugh (who was in on it as well) to get a better deal from San Francisco.

I tried VERY hard to block the whole Harbaugh situation out of my memory, because I was hoping that was what our coach/QB would do as well. Put all the shopping behind them, and get back to playing football. There's no one to blame this wasted year on, besides Stephen Ross. Awful.

I think you need to stop believing everything the media tells you.

If YOU knew anything about football.. you don't fire a head coach 4 weeks into a season and expect any good things to happen. Stop expecting some miracle pill to come out of nowhere and get us instant success.

Huh ???? Huizenga has benn completely out of the picture for more than 2 years, almost 3. Ross has had that long to fix things and he's waited this long ?? It doesn't make sense. His fanbase is in complete revolt now. If his plan was to do this it makes very little business sense at all. I think you are completely off-base here.

If that was so, then Ross should have fired Sparano immediately after the season. His HC hunting expedition showed just how classless the dude is -- and now there are rumors that he's interested in Gruden.

I really feel sorry for Fin fans, which is hard for a Bills fan to feel TBH. I used to think that Ralph Wilson was the worst owner in the NFL followed closely by Mike Brown in Cinci and Al Davis in Oakland, but while these three are definitely cellar dwellers, at least they aren't classless. The same can't be said for Ross.

I really think that he's probably the biggest impediment to the Dolphins finding a decent HC for next season. Who's going to trust him? Even Dan Snyder fired his current coach before he went looking for his next one!

Who can choose to blame Ross all you want, but if you actually THINK,, and view the facts for what they are.. NOTHING valuable could happen until this off season anyway.

Not getting Harbaugh is a Godsend in reality. By this off season no-one is going to give a rats *** about Ross' trip to Cali in January.

Gruden and Cowher were NOT going to coach this year anyway. Fisher (the next best candidate) was not going to coach this year anyway.

So fire everyone and hire who.. more ****? Stop thinking you can run a real life football team like you're playing Madden.
