If that was so, then Ross should have fired Sparano immediately after the season. His HC hunting expedition showed just how classless the dude is -- and now there are rumors that he's interested in Gruden.

I really feel sorry for Fin fans, which is hard for a Bills fan to feel TBH. I used to think that Ralph Wilson was the worst owner in the NFL followed closely by Mike Brown in Cinci and Al Davis in Oakland, but while these three are definitely cellar dwellers, at least they aren't classless. The same can't be said for Ross.

I really think that he's probably the biggest impediment to the Dolphins finding a decent HC for next season. Who's going to trust him? Even Dan Snyder fired his current coach before he went looking for his next one!

At this point it is better to fire sparano now. It will get takled about for a week or two and it will be over. Ross can then spend the next 12 plus weeks courting whoever he wants and they can then take a good look at this mess without disrespecting anyone.

I tried VERY hard to block the whole Harbaugh situation out of my memory, because I was hoping that was what our coach/QB would do as well. Put all the shopping behind them, and get back to playing football. There's no one to blame this wasted year on, besides Stephen Ross. Awful.

I don't think thats entirely true. The players still could play better. Did they quit because they are upset about what transpired in the offseason? It was handled terribly by Ross no doubt, but that doesn't mean you just give up. They are playing like they don't care and that would get Sparano fired anyway.

If they fire Sparano now, and they are looking for Gruden to replace him next year, they should let Gruden coach from the NBC studios so he can ensure we get Luck!

Not defending Ross or anyone, but just laying out logic & facts to analyze/debate both sides of the issue ...

Don't forget ... the team was in the same situation Last Year's final games ... as they are today. BEFORE Harbaugh-gate!!

Suggesting Ross changed anything by trying to hire a coach AFTER same performance as last year end, IMHO cannot dot those dots. (Everyone talks about pressuring coaches, players, etc to do better ... well there's your pressure on Sparano & Ireland.)

On the flip side, you can say Ross was smart, saw it last year & tried to correct it with a 'preferred coach', then could not find a different 'preferred coach' ... & was smart enough not to just hire anyone ... waiting for HIS 'preferred coach'.

Bottomline: NOT Defending anyone or making judgements ... but you can look at it as SMART or DUMB. Blaming Henning, Harbaugh-gate, ST Bonamiego, Benny Sapp, McQuistand, etc. etc. is a joke ... its on Tuna, Ireland, & Sparano, they ran/run the show.

IMHO: Analyze & Choose well (what we've not done for a decade) ... I can't tell if that's happening now?? ... we'll have to wait for that 20/20 Hindsight. Its on Ross to get it right TODAY!!

Who can choose to blame Ross all you want, but if you actually THINK,, and view the facts for what they are.. NOTHING valuable could happen until this off season anyway.

Not getting Harbaugh is a Godsend in reality. By this off season no-one is going to give a rats *** about Ross' trip to Cali in January.

Gruden and Cowher were NOT going to coach this year anyway. Fisher (the next best candidate) was not going to coach this year anyway.

So fire everyone and hire who.. more ****? Stop thinking you can run a real life football team like you're playing Madden.
