Every optimist can say what you want but if we go 0-2 sadly enough it will be over for this year.We are in week 2 and we are already being hit with injuries like crazy( Timbo,Surtain,Konrad,Minor,Boston). Our coach is not a motivator to say the least and this team will quit on him b/c nobody on this team agrees with his way of doing things anyway.
I never thought we would be reeling at all this year but losing last week doesn't bother me as much as how we lost.14 penalties,NO deepballs,Fiedler(wannys girlfriend)2 ints in first half.Penalties are a direct result of lack of discipline resulting from the coach.Wanny is starting to look like Spurrier did last year and I think he'll quit after this year.
This team needs an identity on offense but have none! I hate wasted seasons if this turns out to be one.

Kick the crap out of those ***** Cats!

I agree for the most part, but I think if we can manage 2-2 and then pull out a upset over NE in week 5, we will get all motivation back for a run at the playoffs.

I mean it's in this game that injuries will hurt us most. Next week we should have Surtain and Konrad, as well as Minor and Morris back. Maybe even Timbo and McIntosh (on the O-line).

If we can get through the Bengals, or even if we lose, we'll achieve two things:

1. Another game closer to getting all our guys back and this team being 100%(barring future and significant injuries) for once.

2. More experience and time together for the O to gel.

Win or lose this week, I say we'll be merely ok, but not in the dumps yet.

Really...

What game isn't a "must win" game?

Obviously if your leading your division by 2 games your in a better position than somebody like us who's confidence is questionable.0-2 wouldn't help that don't you think?

It's as must-win as any game but, 0-2 is not the end of the season.

I guess 0-4 would be the epitomy of OVER if that were to happen but Im trying to find some gogo juice in this teams tank!

0-2 is not the end of the world, but with a better-than-you-think Pittsburgh team and three divisional games after this, this is pretty close to a must-win. I know that when I saw this game on the calendar, I penciled it in as a game that we should win, because I figured that Carson Palmer would take some time to adjust to the NFL and the D could take advantage.

But Palmer has matured faster than I expected, and seemingly half the defense is hobbled with injuries. Suddenly, a "should win" has become worse than a 50-50 proposition.
