Credit Finominal with this one. This was from an old thread we had going back before week 1. Man this is so fitting for the game coming Dec.28. Im so hyped right now. I CANT WAIT for that ****ing game. Division title on the line.

Anyways, here it is. Thanks Finominal. This was my favorite one from that thread. Someone needs to post this over on gang green or something.

Hush jet babies
Don’t you cry
When your quarterback
Gets a big black eye
When his green jerseys
Covered in orange dirt
Hope you got your money’s worth
Cause now he’s hurt
If that noodle arm
Burns you’re a**
It’ll be so fun having
The last laugh

That combined with my idea for those aqua and orange colored swimming noodles with "Noodle on This" and the AFC East division champions logo on them is EPIC!!!! We need to be throwing those out at the stadium after Pennington BURNS their *** for 3 TDs and Favre throws 3 picks. :woot::woot::woot::hi5::sidelol::lol::D

I wish I could get excited for the Jets game, but right now it's still way to far away.

if Miami loses either to the Niners or the Chiefs, that game is likely not going to matter, so I just can't look that far ahead yet.

Bologna. If the Pats lose a game, then our game vs. the Jets is STILL for the division title so long as we win one of the next two.

Besides, we will beat the 9ers and Chiefs anyways. It still hasnt hit you that Pennington and the phins are the real deal has it?

I'm ecstatic that Miami has a chance to steal this division, but i'm cautious to get my hopes up.

Plus the Niners have been playing some inspired football since Singletary took over, so i'm not exactly thrilled with having to play them right now.

Boy do I hope you're right. I wish I shared your confidence but with our inability to finish of these teams and hammer the nail in the coffin I just can't

is winning the game not considered hammering the nail in the coffin?

The offense started off with a touchdown and then failed to get back there all game, kicking 4 field goals instead.

If that doesn't define 'stall' then nothing does.

For example,

We dominated Oakland all game and then with a 95 yard punt return we almost lost if not for a great drive and last gasp FG from Carpenter.

We dominated Denver all game. We should've been up by 20 in the 4th quarter. Instead we let them stay in the game and a turnover late could've cost us the game.

And the same went for the San Diego game. We outgained them by 175 yards and we needed a 4th and Goal goalline stand to ice the game. We had 17 points and almost 400 yards of total offense.

We need to learn how to punch the ball in the endzone and put these teams that we continue to dominate down by 2 scores or else you leave yourself open to allowing a turnover or freak special teams play to change the game.

I think we need to plan out this whole noodle thing. I'd be more then happy to take one with to the game.

Everybody talks about not being able to finish teams off and put the nail in the coffin; I just dont understand. LAST YEAR, we were not finishing games the way we should; thats why we lost six games by three or less. I can only speak for myself, but I dont have any quarals with winning by three points. Hell, we can beat the Lions by a safety in overtime, I will celebrate the same as beating the Titans by fourty. As long as we are winning, I dont mind a few more beers and a competitive game.

yeah i remember that i started that thread.. i never knew it would get so much attention... im just pissed they moved it to the depths of the sea

Its still one of the greatest threads in FH history IMHO. It should be in flippers finest.

I wish I was that confident that we will beat SF.

I spend every Sunday at my neighbor's house because he has the Sunday Ticket, and that's my only way to catch Dolphins stuff here in Austin, TX. He's a lifelong 49er fan, and so I end up seeing at least part of their game every week. (Sucked for both of us last year.)

Anyhow, I think the 49ers are a more explosive team than the Dolphins, definitely on offense but maybe also on defense. They are a big, athletic team, and they produce a lot of big plays. Problem for them is they usually nullify their big plays by making colossally stupid mistakes.

The scary thing is that, with Singletary in the fold, they have scaled back a bit, gotten a little more conservative, and focused on winning with brute strength and athleticism.

In other words, I think they are seeking to utilize a gameplan similar to what Sparano is doing with the Dolphins. Problem for us is, I think they might have some really advantageous matchups with their receivers/tight ends on our DBs. They are all huge and fast.

Hopefullly Frank Gore's ankle will be too sore to play us. I'm definitely worried.
