Im from Ohio and I listen to a few Sport Stations as I drive and it was talked about 3 times yesterday. Apparently Brown fans think were giving them Waddle for Greg Newsome. Grier will be fired asap on that disgusting move. But it got me thinking. Anyone here about that nonsense. Why they talking about this trade.

Grier could probably trade our whole roster for the local peewee football team and still get to keep his job.

“He gives up far too many big plays and is awful as a run defender with far too many missed tackles. Newsome isn’t an awful player, but he isn’t a player you want to pay more than $10 million per year to.”
"Newsome is also in the final year of his deal. So, what will any team want to give up via trade for a player who will be nothing more than a one-year rental whose play has declined since the day he was drafted?"

Sure I’ll send waddle for Newsome and their 1st next year

With Hill out the door after the season, or perhaps sooner, there's no way Miami is trading Waddle.

If they were talking straight up, that's pure madness. Newsome might be worth a 4th or a 5th round pick.

Sounds like the definition of Grier.

Not worth it. Newsome is a bust and we will need to draft a WR next year. Better off keeping Waddle at that point. He's only 26 years old.

Cleveland will be picking top 10 possibly top 5 in what’s supposed to be a qb heavy draft, that’s absolutely worth it. I don’t think arch will come out but in the event that he does and somehow they end up picking one, you can turn that into 3-4 1st round picks and a plethora of other picks.

Because it's become a thing for one blogger to use another blogger or podcaster's opinion about what they think a team should do, and pass that off as news.

Example:

Blogger A in Miami says, "Miami has a CB problem."

Blogger B in Cleveland says, "Miami source says they have a CB problem. Is Greg Newsome the answer?"

Blogger C, who runs a Twitter account called "NFL Rumors" says there's a rumor that Miami is potentially trading for Greg Newsome, and adds that they think Jalen Waddle would make sense.

Jason La Canfora reports that "his source" says Miami and Cleveland are exploring a Newsome for Waddle trade.

They’re not getting anything higher than a 3rd or 4th round pick for a CB2 caliber talent due a big pay day.
