Our offense played almost a perfect game Monday Night, held the ball for 45 mins, and did everything they were supposed to do, and some how it is their fault.

People are slamming Penny and Ginn for a couple of miscue's meanwhile our entire defense one big miscue after another gets a free pass.

Do people understand we do not have some high powered offense that is going to score 40 points a game? Do you think that really a change of a quarterback who can throw the deep ball, but can't read defenses all that well yet to a group of average WR's is going to make a difference?

Im just curious where does this hatred of CP come from, I don't remember it being here last year when we were winning? I am trying to understand when a WR catches 11 passes over a 100 yards, misses a couple of balls he is a bust, he sucks blah blah.

I am just curious if the people who are posting are they that critical about themselves? If you are a student and you aren't getting 100% on a test then you are a failure a bust, drop out of college. Make a mistake at work quit find a new career.

Unreal people, CP and Ginn are not perfect, they are two players, I sure hope these guys never read these boards cause none of the people posting here could possibly understand what is going on with them, you think they don't care you think they just collect a paycheck and move on to the next day. Have you all lost faith in the trifecta that you think there are some hidden gems on the bench that they refuse to play for some crazy reason. I'm sure if someone in practices shine, they will get their shot, not until then.

One last thing, if our offense plays as well as it did Monday Night, I will be a happy camper and we will have a real shot of making the playoffs, but if our defense can't stop anyone what does it matter we can't win, we aren't built to win a shoot out.

All I know is that when you control the ball for 45 min and not turn the ball over and still lose there is a big problem, you have to win the friggin game given that ridiculous advantage in time possesion. I still can't fathom how the Dolphins lost on MNF.

It's getting out of control because people like you keep bringing it up. Don't you think you/we should be focusing on San Diego now?

Let em fall of the bandwagon......Real fans will still be around come Playoff time....

I don't know, what I said at work to when asked how we lost, cause it doesn't make sense but it is what it is. Only thing I can say is we didn't make enough plays to win, and the Colt's made enough plays to win, but if we do this again, I can't see us losing again if we do, then we have much bigger concerns on defense.

wrong. the fake fans come out when the team starts doing good, its when were not good the real fans come out like myself. Liek when we were 0-10 or 0-12 in 07, there was a huge dropoff in the amount viewing the forum.

In football, a balanced defense is very effective. If you are unbalanced (as in you have a weakness in one spot but are powerful in another), you need to make adjustments to make up for what is lagging behind. Our pass defense is lagging. Our pass rush can be very good at times. We try to increase the pass rush to help our secondary but Manning managed to use it to his advantage.

10 years from now, when Manning is in the HOF, this will be one of the games discussed. He took control and led his team to victory. Peyton beat the Phins... not the Colts.

I may be one of those you'd assume is reacting to the season so far in some sort of knee-jerk manner by advocating that we platoon CP in towards his strengths. Namely on 3rd downs and 2 minute drives. But my contention comes from the fact that we are already platooning the QB position through the use of the Wildcat.

We also know how the trifecta like the idea of having their playmakers on the field at the same time. After all that was the genesis of the Wildcat as a play set.

While Pat White and Henne both would pose a risk as passers as of yet, they are not gonna learn on the sideline or in the classroom exclusively. I say give the one with the most upside a shot at an occasional pass on first or second down only. Granted we're gonna be running the ball primarily anyways. It would at least give them the gradual experience for their benefit while we also maintain the diversity of the offense running the WC, etc. while in addition we would at least have the threat of the long ball behind center on first and second downs.

Penny comes in on thirds for your possession critical down. This is his forte, his strength anyway! He's not just your average QB for accuracy. He's the best in the history of the game! How do you think he acheived that designation,.... on the long ball!? Not hardly.

What I'm saying is also predicated upon something we've all known from day one: that is that Penny lacks the arm strength for the deep ball (recall for example Mondays deep out that was almost a pick six!)

As for being satisfied with the high percentage of success we had with our offense on Monday and whether we are as stringent upon ourselves etc.... I guess it's somewhat relative. I'm pretty sure we wouldn't accept a 99% success rate for Airlines:wink:

If Ginn makes the catch and we win they would proclaim him and our offence as unstopable. We are not far away guys. A catch here , a tackle there , hold on to the ball and we could be 2 and 0.

And as far as Chad. He threw 3 TD passes that were dropped monday so I think he'll be just fine.

Now that we got all that out of our system , let's win some games. ~ GO FINS~

If we can get the Defense that showed up week 1 to play at the same time our Offense and ST played in Week 2 I like our chances of winning 10-11 ball games this year.

for home games, I think we need the Defense to take a road trip up to Orlando on Saturday morning and take a plane to Miami so they think we are playing away. For away games, the Offense needs to get to the stadium on wednesday at least!

We solved our team's weaknesses!
