This is PFW's rankings of the top nine prospects, with their grade:

1. Alex Smith, QB, Utah - 6.75
2. Cedric Benson, RB, Texas - 6.75
3. Braylon Edwards, WR, Michigan - 6.70
4. Ronnie Brown, RB, Auburn - 6.70
5. Cadillac Williams, RB, Auburn - 6.65
6. Antrell Rolle, CB, Miami - 6.65
7. Aaron Rodgers, QB, California - 6.60
8. Mike Williams, WR, USC - 6.60
9. Carlos Rogers, CB, Auburn - 6.60

0.15 points is all that separates the top 9 in the draft, according to PFW. This is why none of you can say that so and so isn't worth the 2nd pick. There are 9 players in this draft that are so closely rated together that they could go in any order.

I would have thought Edwards would have been rated a little higher... I thought he was beeing toughted as the best player in the draft... guess not, according to PFW.

That works both ways then, you can't say that picking another player at 5 or 7 is that much worse then picking at 2.

He's been touted as the BPA only in the minds of some fans.

yeah there has been plenty of talk that Edwards could be the best player in the draft. This says otherwise...

You also don't take less than value for the pick.

It's this simple. There WILL NOT BE A TRADE unless Tampa Bay steps up and offers their 2nd round pick AND their later 3rd round pick to move up, or if Minnesota offers BOTH 1st round picks and a 4th round pick.

That's BS....there are plenty of souces that say that Braylon Edwards may well be the best player in the draft.

The value of the pick is in the eye of the beholder....or better said...the person who makes the decision....and going against some here that may feel otherwise....no one here makes that decision....Saban does. So all the pick charts....or the crystal balls are meaningless.

Why did PacMan fall from favor? I rememebr people had him possibly jumping Rolle and ending up the 1st CB taken. Is it his height? I also think Mike WIlliams is being underrated. 30 TD's in 2 seasons at USC.. that is impressive

So value overrides need?

You wouldn't take Ronnie Brown or Caddy Williams and a 2nd over Benson because value says you shouldn't.

So just to save face you would not take a player that was rated the same plus another good player in the 2nd over taking a player with equal value at #2?

Saving face will not help you win, but that extra player in the 2nd that you wouldn't have just might.

Hell no I wouldn't take it. Not when value says that this pick is worth the 7th pick AND the 18th pick, plus more.

Only a ****ing moron would trade down from 2 to 7 and only get a 2nd round pick in return.

You want to trade down with reasonable value, of course. but keep in mind also what you're paying -- the difference in cap between #2 and #9 is signifcant.

This is in no personal offense to you, and enjoy your draft work, but man you don't like Edwards at all do you. All you want is a RB and nothing else.
