Just by reading all these threads, I notice that allthe candidates that are brought up for the HC job are rejected. Whether it is Chan Gailey (who is a favorite to people in the Dolphins organization), Jim Mora Jr., or Cam Cameron, they are all laughed at. Also, I am noticing some crazy names being brought up which include Parcells and Cowher. Next we'll hear Coker.

Who is a reasonable candidate that won't get laughed off?

whisenhut...imo

or don shula {doubt he'llbe laughed off :)}

You missed my Shula thread then. Laughed off as too old.

This is the internet. No matter how godly your candidate, there's a blank out there who disagrees and laughs at you. It's how this virtual world works. Come up with an idea, intelligent rational or not and get flamed by anons.

I've come to the conclusion that no matter who the new coach ends up being, people will complain about it. I dont know much about a lot of the names being thrown about, but save for someone as craptastic as say Mularky, I'll support whoever they choose as the new coach.

sorry i missed it, i woulda backed you up buddy. its ok, the internet is just used for soft people who are insecure to hide behind a keyboard that would never mock you to your face. in the long run, we can laugh them off in life.

There is not a jaw-dropping candidate out there. There will always be many people that are upset.

Right now I'd lean towards Martz as HC as long as Dom agrees to stay as Assit HC with total Defensive control. Those two should be a powerful combination.

Tom Moore!!

That would not be bad at all! But im not sure Capers would like to stay once he fails to land the HC position.

Don King just said he was interested in the job on 790!

Cam Cameron would be a good choice and so would Rex Ryan.

Of the canidates Whisenhunt is the hot name. He obviously deserves credit for his part in making the Steelers offense efficient and being part of a SB winner. The fact he was part of a recent champion is important as IMHO we need to look at folks with recent proven track record of success coaching in championship games over any other canidate without that on the resume (ie Mora, Gailery, Rivera etc).

Up here in the ATL he is well liked since he is a Ga Tech / former Falcon guy and the local media folks are already linking him to possibly Dolphins or Falcons. If he is as good as some ATL based pundits and fans are proclaiming I hope we get him before the Falclown Vickies and Blankface can get their hands on him.

Another canidate with connections up here; Chan Gailey. IMHO he did an admirable job at Ga. Tech but was only so so when he was Cowboys. His teams could not get it done in the playoffs. He is ready to get back into the NFL?

The Ron Rivera thing is interesting. To be honest besided remembering him as a former Bear player back in the day yours truly don't know much about him. Can anyone shed some light on his qualifications and anything particular about him that stands out to make him a good prospect?

As far as this Mora Jr. talk this is one option the FO need to forget about it. I would be very disappointed if he ever become the Fins coach.
