This Texans team has no run game. They will try and get a balanced attack going but we all know that when it comes down to it, they're going to need to pass the ball early and often.
This is the game where Wake needs to play on more than just 3rd and longs! Simple as that. There offensive tackles are not very good and JT and Peezy are becoming less and less effective and I fear Schaub will have all day in the pocket to scan the field.

STAT: In games when Schaub gets sacked at least twice, the Texans are 3-6.

I know people love Wake, but there has to be a reason why he has NOT gotten more playing time. Maybe he just isn't very stout against the run, or maybe he blows in coverage . . . honestly I haven't seen him enuff to judge, I usually see him rush the passer, and he has done a fantastic job of doing that . . . but maybe he is a liability in other areas not worth putting him in earlier on downs. Hell with their LT out (not that he was much good) . . . we need to send pressure all game.

Ya but knowing that the Texans will live and die with their passing attack, Wake should definitely play more in this game then he has all year. To be honest, Porter has been a huge liability against the run. Hell, everyone outside of Y Bell and our front three seems to be crappy against the run.

This is true, our front 3 has dominated this year, and is the biggest reason why we have success against the run. For us to bounce Roth when he finally got healthy let's me know something went very wrong on that front. He was on another level when it came to "our" lb's and stopping the run. He was clearly our best guy.

Roth- our best guy against the run? hahaha
Crowder gets pounded on finheaven but he is our best linebacker against the run. We all know he cant rush the passer and is a liability in coverage (but getting better) so if he wasnt our best run stuffing LB he would have been cut. Crowder gets trucked occationally but thats because he is usually first their and throws his body around. This is by far Channings best year.

oh you were joking. Okay.

you don't cut a guy you just signed to an extension the offseason before.
He's never the first guy there, normally the last. He couldn't find the right angle with a carpenters square.
