I thought the O-line was a big part of the problem. Maybe thats why Jacox came in and why Saban didn't feel like we could get that yard on forth down. I would love to see how many of Ronnies yards were after contact. Pep had decent time on a few occasions, obviously their corners had good coverage. The only thing you said that is accurate is questioning the playcalling. We took literally no shots down fileld, I guess Mularky deciding it was in our best interest not to test the TWO ROOKIE safeties!:shakeno:

I don't think the oline was great. And I couldn't really tell if the reason Culpepper was hanging on to the ball for so long was because the receivers were not getting open or if he just plain couldn't make up his mind and get it out of his hands. I think every single facet of the game deserves blame. There was at least some sloppiness from every facet and it all needs to improve immediately. Daunte, oline, receivers, dline, linebackers, secondary, play calling, and coaching adjustments all need improvement. There are very few reasons as to why we should loose to the Bills at home, and even fewer why we should loose to the Titans. It better get fixed and fast if this team expects to contend for a playoff spot.

Ok Jim Rome or Rex Hadnot, which one? The Dolphins gave Daunte more time when they were in max protect. 7 to 8 guys in protection. There are 5 olinemen on the field most of the time. With Two, or occasionally Three receivers, the Bills had coverage. Whether the Bills played cover 2, or man, they pretty much had our receivers covered. Culpepper did have a little more time, but not many options. We did not stretch the field, we hit check offs when the Bills dropped back into coverage. Your post is in my opinion wrong. I guess it's easy to bash the QB, but read between the lines next time.

One of the greatest qoute i ever read well put! Nice JOB! this person really gets it!

newcomer, it isnt smart to say people dont know football just because you are angry. everyone else, supporting daunte or not, is angry. furthermore, you are way off when you say he had plenty of time to get the ball off. if you watch the recast you will see that defenders were coming through the line unblocked. daunte did try to roll out and couldnt. why? because his knee isnt healthy yet. short of putting michael vick in there, any quarterback would have taken the same sacks, probably more. you need to understand that when recievers arent open and the pocket has collapsed, you cant just toss the ball out there. now, if we are to be reasonable why not consider how many pass completions and attempts culpepper had. he threw the ball at a very high completion percentage if im not mistaken. at one point he was 10 for 11, when randy mcmichael dropped what should have been a touchdown pass. sure, there were plays where he held the ball too long, but the pressure was still there, and recievers werent open. half the time he was scrmbling to get away from defenders. the oline must protect him knowing his knee isnt strong yet. Daunte is your b whether you like it or not, so you may as well try to look fro positives.
furthermore - how can you say that saban and the team deserved to get the crap booed out of them? real fans dont boo there team just because they lose. as it is half the stadium was bills fans, what does it say when we are booing our team in front of them. it says your a bunch of fake fans, because in 5 weeks well be right there in the playoff hunt, clicking on all cylinders, and those booing fans will all of a sudden be cheering and loving this team. You DO NOT boo your team on the second game of the year. you support them and trust that they will get better. come on, we destroyed denver last year, and look what they did.

phinsdude, good point. it seemed like everytime culpepper wasnt immediately under pressure, there were only two recievers running routes. double covered, even tripled. i like booker but he isnt getting open. seems like the only one really working hard to get himself open is wes welker.

ok i have a question for all veterans comment makers! is that what u want to be called? what do u usually do when u cant find a reciver open? U THROW the ball away.. this is peps ok 5 seconds ok no one around me still 6 seconds still no one around me hmm they must be coming soon oh wait i will just hold it and take a sack? hmm good idea "all pro qb" ur our savior! oh saban just clap ur way into another loss u idiot! he asks so tough are these guys really intimitated in him? come on look at the facks its right there in the film? how long u want the ol to block for 20 seconds?

wow, thats pretty insightful. and i see youve come to the conclusion that saban is an idiot and the players arent intimidated by him. curious how you get that? i agree that on a few plays daunte should have just thrown the ball away. but then when do you figure a qb should make the decision to throw the ball away? because in my opinion, if we are looking at how many times daunte should have thrown the ball away based on o line mishaps and covered recievers, daunte would have thrown the ball away over ten times today. give the guy a break, hes trying to make plays happen, hes used to being able to scramble because hes done it his whole career and he doesnt know what his knee will let him do yet. right now hes trying to get comfortable with these players, these plays, these coaches, and the limitations he is having to play with until his knee is better. it will take time.
be honest. if he doesnt throw that pick at half time, we score instead, and we end up winning say 14 to 10 because the defense doent give up huge plays and our punt doesnt get blocked, are you still complaining about him being awful? look at the big picture, daunte didnt play great, hes still learning this offense, players, leg limitations - but hes not why we lost. the rest of the team missed tackles, dropped balls, missed blocks, penalties, etc. this is a team game

Thanks man:cooldude: . Tell all of these other people I argue with that I at least know something about football. And that means you at least know something as well if you are agreeing with me. So good job yourself!

the commentators were talking about how the rookies were shutting down chambers and booker

if daunte had a play down the field he would have taken it, playcalling is the worse facet of the team if linehan(sp?) was still here the team would be 2-0

I can't believe all you people who are saying he didn't have enough time to pass. His protection was very good, he had time to make 3 or 4 reads most of the time. As well as the line was starting to open holes for ronnie.I can't believe his receivers were covered so well all game he couldn't find anybody open mid range or longer until late in the game. And if that was the case then why didn't he throw it away. Yes there's lots of blame to go around to-day but imo cpep was the main problem. Maybe he needs to get his confidence but he's not helping himself and either is the o.c. Why they decided to pass late in the first half when Ronnie was running hard and getting good yardage is hard to understand and then he throws into double coverage for the int. which was a total brain cramp.
