Surgery on his knee is a possibility, since sprains are slight tears. Mike Tannenbaum, Dolphins executive VP of football operations, joined NFL Network's Andrew Siciliano, Daniel Jeremiah and Mike Mayock during their broadcast of Senior Bowl practice on Wednesday, and said the decision is Tannehill's. So far, it hasn't been made.

"No one test is going to make a decision for us, so we're just going to keep going through the process (and) talking to our doctors," Tannenbaum told reporters Wednesday. "Obviously Ryan's (Tannehill) very involved. We'll rely on our medical people to give us some suggestions. So we'll just see how the process plays out."

Tannenbaum added that he doesn't know if Tannehill will miss regular season time if he needs surgery.

So you are telling us that no decision has has been made on an injury that happened more than a month ago. Since you have designated him the franchise QB(of which I do not agree, but that is irrelevant). This was not a priority? You are not planning on replacing him, right? What are you too busy boozing it up with the hookers on South Beach to expedite the process. Now you are saying there is a possibility of him missing some of the regular season. This guy is a moron. He is going to sink this team just like the Jets if he he is allowed to make further decisions.:hsmash:

Wow you Tannenbaum oranges are really reaching these days. I mean, now the guy's a member of the medical staff , where's it stop.

I dont know why anyone pays attention to anything tannenbaum says...all he ever does is speak in circles

Nothing to read into and nothing to take from

The Tannenbaum hate on this forum is crazy. The guy has been decent at the very least for us. Lets wait til we have a losing season before calling for his head.

Dude just stop. He's right, its up to Ryan. His feeback to medical personal is vital to what happens.... Quit digging to keep your hate alive.

I kinda agree.. I mean I'm not a huge tannenbaum fan but this is nothing ... but Tannehill is having another MRI next week and tbum is no medical expert, I'm fine with his talking in circles in this situation

DK.....absolutely an idiotic post. Tannehill has been examined by a renowned physician and our bodies do have a natural ability to heal (when there is not complete disruption of a structure). I'm pretty sure a Tannehill's health is a priority for him.....for us.

Deshaun Watson was compared to Michael Jordan today by Dabo Swinney. Wonder if Tannenbaum's buying?

We won 6 games last season.

Almost enough to drive you to smoking!

I don't understand how Tannehill still has all this swelling how many weeks after this injury occurred. Makes no sense.

You must not of ever had a serious injury before. It took over 6 months for all of the swelling to go away from my foot after surgery.

Broke my femur and dislocated my knee at the same time least year... my left leg and knee were *noticeably* swollen for about 3 months.

I agree. I was reading up on Dan Quinn yesterday and it talked about how Tannenbaum wanted Ross to fire Philbin and go after Quinn, but Ross was standing behind Philbin for some reason. Tannenbaum's reputation is tainting everything is does in Miami.

Tannehill has the very best medical advice. He has sprained his MCL and his ACL. The reason why they haven't rushed to surgery is that they are waiting to see if the MCL heals itself without requiring surgery. Ryan graduated pre med and aspires to become an orthopedic surgeon after his NFL career. He also has a track record of very good physical recovery from injury. If surgery can be avoided, this is the preferred path. I happen to think that the Dolphins medical staff and Dr Andrews know precisely what they are doing. This has absolutely nothing to do with Tannenbaum. It is a medical evaluation and decision.
