This is Why Tua Needs to Start

It dont matter how long dolphins hide or hold Tua on bench.. we going find out anyway. Weather he can play in nfl or not??? TBD..if he not ready it best keep him on bench ..

All I see there is one guy open for 3 yards and the other one for 5.....am I missing something?
Look at the pic closely, all 3 LBs are facing the QB and passing off their guy to the 2 outside corners and the safety in cover 3. Safety is still stationnary and both corners are far from full speed while all 3 WRs are running full speed... The reason the tweet mentions good pass pro is because you can still let this this develop... Worst case is you get 3x one-on-one deep and best case you've got at least one guy with good separation...

Notice how sound New England's scheme is. They've got the numbers on both sides of the formation. 4 defenders for 3 receivers on one side - 3 defenders for 2 receivers on the other side. They know what's coming from Chan Gailey based on personnel.

alright, fair enough. It'd be nice to see the whole play just to see what really happen on that play

He hits a more upfield route on this play.

It certainly needs to improve. But i can't use this or even this game as a pitch for Tua to start. It's way too early and too many unknown about this teams ability and more specfically that pass protection. Think about it this way..Look how surprise we all are at that pass protection and i bet no one was more surprised than Fitz. The guy was under extreme duress last season as soon as he got the ball. So i can't blame him too much for not holding the ball a little longer to let things develop this early in the season. Gotta trust the O-line can keep that up. The Bills offer a ruthless group upfront. If we can hold up in pass protect against them then we may finally have something here.

There is still no way to tell if any of them would have been open without knowing what the route combo was, what the defenders zone drops were, and how they would have reacted. The way this pic looks to me from top to bottom....

-Top WR is running the dig which is where the ball goes
-Next Wr looks like he's already planted and heading toward the corner with a CB waiting in that zone
-Next WR it's hard to tell because maybe he hasnt hit his mark and cut yet but looks like he's running straight up the field with a Safety waiting
-Next WR same as last but if the ball is thrown right then and to the inside yes it's a completion for a decent gain
-Bottom WR looked like he ran an out and if he got the ball right then gets a good gain, but the defender in his area has already identified that the ball is going the other way so this may be misleading

Now if the 2nd WR from the top runs a deep out the 3rd runs a corner, and the 4th on the other side runs a skinny post then someone is going to be open for a very big gain, but we dont know any of that.

Look I'm far from a Fitz fan and I was bashing him in the chat during the game, but this pic really tells us nothing about this play.

I really don't know what the hurry is to get Tua on the field. We're not a playoff team. There were no OTAs, no mini camps, shortened training camp, and no preseason. We have an OC that was out of football for 3 years and a team learning a new offensive system. The odds of setting up a rookie QB for success are less than 0...not to mention the best WR is now gimpy. There are so many kinks to work out on offense that adding a rookie on top of it will probably get him hurt.

Week 6 should be the goal....WEEK 6!

Eh, it is what it is. It’s Flores’ team, and his funeral if he messes up (and no, that doesn’t mean he’s on the hot seat if the team has a losing record or misses the playoffs this year).

But, this team is just spinning its wheels until Fitzpatrick is out and Tua goes in.
