Our fan base is weak. Look I understand your reluctance to give Ross the benefit of the doubt. However, it's extremely unfair to criticize him like this. What did the man do wrong now? Look the Harbaugh saga was a mess, no one can say otherwise. But we need to have a positive out look. This is a new era. The owner tried to please the fan base by getting Jeff Fisher. It didn't work out. Simple as that. How can you blame him and criticize him vehemently for not wanting to give Jeff Fisher final say over his GM. I understand he's a big name and all but for God's sake he had 6 winning seasons in 17 years. I don't want to trust this guy with complete control over our personnel. Look he may be a great coach but he's defiantly no Belichick. I would much rather get a highly respected coordinator. You might say well look at what happened with Cameron, Sparano, etc. You can not have that deter you from getting that coach. After all every coach had to start somewhere. Look at the teams currently in the playoffs. Mike McCarthy, and Sean Payton were coordinators before they became head coaches of their respective teams. None of the teams currently in the playoffs have a coach who was the "big name".

Thanks,
Sorry for my rant but this was really bothering me.

So this is my question. How many head coaches have final say in personal these days? I ask because I do not know. Why I do know is that if I were the head coach of a team, I would want to choose the players that I think would fit best with what I want to do and how I want to coach the team.

I guess Vince Young being forced upon him left a bad taste in his mouth.
