Chad Pennington is entirely responsible for this loss. This is why the Jets fans were so eager to get rid of him. He is the reincarnation of Jay Fiedler. Good enough to win 9 or 10 games, and then chokes when you really need him. Hopefully there will be an open competition at QB next year. I think Henne will win a fair open competition. Then we can use the entire field for our offense instead of pathetically tiny chunks of the field.

I disagree with you on everything you said except the open competition. Without Pennington, Bess, London, Ginn and Fasano never would've developed into better players this year. Now with that experience they've gained, perhaps with a stronger armed QB in Henne next year and newer/better players, the team can achieve more.

Who knows. I can't wait to find out though

Finally someone that knows what they are talking about. Thats how I feel too. I am tired of watching these washed up Veteran QB's come in here. Lets start playing Henne next year and see what the kid can do. If Matt Ryan and Flaco can do it then I don't see why Henne can't play.

How did you feel after last weeks game? You may want to go and look in the mirror and re-examine your loyalty. Ever think losing smiley didn't have a big impact on this game? How about bess going out with a hand injury, because wideouts don't need those. He came back but it still has to have an impact.

So let the eleventy billion suicide threads begin....

After the hurt is gone..you will feel different.

Henne has a killer arm and should be given a shot. Pennington was clutch last week against the Jets, but this week in the actual Playoffs, no. Our defense kicked *** today. Our offense was actually not that bad other than the conservative play calling in the first half and all the turnovers. Chad Pennington should be ashamed of himself. Everyone gave him so much praise all year and now he plays like a rookie QB on the Lions. I'd like to see a superbowl while I'm still in my 20's. 4 more years to go.

I agree it's on Chad. He played well most of the year, today he didn't, it's the way it goes. Lets hope this seasons success wasn't a fluke and we can improve on this season.

Maybe you're right, but I doubt it. I don't want years and years of slightly above average. I want a QB that we can open up the playbook for. Teams do not win Super Bowls with QB's like Chad Pennington. We will never have a defense like the Bucs or Ravens teams that won with mediocre QB's.

This is ridiculous, Chad is the reason we went this far. Did he have a good game, no, but the whole team played poorly. Ravens are just a better team right now.

Its not that Chad chokes. Its just that he gives you a lot of those "oh he almost pulled it out" type of games. You get down and then he throws a TD and he gets everybody's hopes up and then usually throws a pick or something. Its weird lol.

He struggles a lot in the red zone against better teams. You were knocking on the door opening drive but couldnt get it in. You dont see Chad drop back and fire one across the middle. It's a lot of dump offs or fade routes down there.

He's not a bad player. But I have doubts with him in the playoffs against good teams. But he is a good guy to help mentor Chad Henne IMO.

Chad had a terrible game, but it wasn't all on him. We couldn't run for crap, and our offensive line was giving up pressure all game. The offense was just bad overall, including Chad.

This is why I try to not read this board a lot.

Because of narrow sighted, fair weather fans like you. You are wrong about everything you said.

Chad had so much pressure in his face the entire day, we have 5 turnovers.....and we are a Ginn bobbled handoff away from still being down 1 score with a chance. Chad needs more help, as in a guard and another WR.

He will be our QB next season, and he should be.
