All of a sudden, I started to realize that we can keep Penny to help out Henne, I mean he knows a whole lot about preparing for a game, but do you guys think we could have him as our OC let's say, next year??

That's hilarious. If anything, David Lee would be OC and Penny would be QB coach.

I get the impression Pennington still wants to play and coaching is a distant thought at the moment.

for some reason i think you might need some sort of coaching resume to get a coordinator position.that just my thoughts.

One day no question he will be a brilliant OC... I see him 1-2 years as a backup, hopefully with us... QB coach... and then on to OC...

I really hope he stays in our system.

I think my third best friends Uncle Larry would make a great OC. He watches all the dolphins games and thinks that dan henning is a real bad coordinator. I mean everytime right before a dolphins snap Uncle Larry yells whether its gonna be a wildcat play or not. He also knows almost every third down and long whether we are gonna pass it or throw it.

Hes amazing. If he is this knowledgable he would be the bestest OC we could have

Facepalm???? WTF, How old is the Broncos head coach? oh and Tomlin? so you place a person wo is capable at the best position don't you?

I don't know their backgrounds but I would think they spent a lot of time in coaching before they even became coordinators. Most coaches start out getting coffee for the others and work their way up. Like many professions. I think with Chad's experience he might be able to start out as a QB coach if he wanted to but I'm not sure he would want to. I don't think the percentage of players that end up as coaches is very high.

Don't worry!! These experts know just about as much as they claim you know!! All some can do is just critiscize, or offer really no rebuttal at all. So don't pay attention to those guys.

You are correct, you place the best person at the position. The only problem with Penny as OC is like someone else stated. Being a coach and Coordinator are 2 different things. I am sure Penny would make a great coach, I just think he could step in right away as a coach, but not necessarily as a coordinator.

Seasons music? That was actually a funny response. But you do realize Penny attempted and completed more 20 yard passes in 08 then Henne and his 3 completions in 09 right?
