Eric was on our local Calgary radio station FAN 960 and he was asked about this years draft and he said the following...

1. There are no homerun hitters like last year..., he said Jake Long and Matt Ryan homeruns..., even FO of Detroit is uncertain about the player they should select..., people in their office even like Curry no.1..., Eric said the coach is pushing hard for Stafford...

Detroit is said to be negeotiating with Staffard agent Conlon (sp?) is driving a hard bargain...

2. In his opinion there were way too many question marks within picks 1-10 and that the value in this draft starts at nos. 23 (incidently where the Pats pick)...

3. He said teams that have loaded up with picks will have the oppotunity for the draft to fall to them... (Pats, Denver, Bills he named a few)

My opinion... (Proves how wise Bill was last year having Jake signed and delivered prior to the draft...)

Thanks REV Key I heard something similar I forgot the guy's name but he said the same thing and he said that he would not draft a cornerback until rd 3 or rd4 . this guy had some nfl knowledge but he went on to say that defensive ends defensive tackles , and linebackers seemed to be the strength of this draft.

REV which posistion are hearing about the most that could be the impact player ?

I don't know anything about the draft..., basically Eric PFW said it was a crap shoot paying so handsomely for players in the top ten...

With the money you pay I would trade down to the second every year. More picks equal more chance to be right and with less risk,

True dat..., but less risk to be average... if there aren't players who can be coached up and haven't met their ceiling...
