Woah. I can't believe I'm about to say this but after watching a QB command respect in the huddle and watching our WR's RESPOND by actually holding on to the ball, I feel happier than a pig in sh*t :woot::woot:

Wow, just wow we finally have not one, but TWO NFL caliber QB's on our roster that can make throws and make our WR corp look decent! Chad Pennington is going to win games for us, and RW will open up the offense even more for him.
Henne also looks like the real deal, his poise in the pocket is incredible, and he has a gun for an arm- The throws he makes while getting hit have not been witnesses here since a man by the name of Marino was at the helm.

I'm loving the additions of Merling and Langford, these guys are going to be the next Taylor and Zach combo for the next decade. We also fixed our offense line, the Jake Long and Thomas pick could anchor our line for a decade as well, especially when you sprinkle in Vernon to the mix. And wow, Ginn looked every bit as good Coles as NY, I look forward to Pennington using his arm and his brain to help develop Ginn in to an elite receiver.

Overall, I look forward to a year with some growing pains, but with some incredible strides to be made... The debate last year on whether or not to keep Cameron is starting to look ridiculous, Parcells and CO. look well on their way towards building a championship-contenting team in 3. And the football gods gave us a QB to help ease the transition! Wow! What an offseason!

We're gonna fight this year, no doubt about it. Playoff hopeful teams are not gonna be happy about playing us in week 10-16.

Two weeks ago I said we had no hope for the playoffs or anything great this year because our QB situation was so weak.. Combine that with an even weaker WR corp and I thought our prospects were dim. Now, with veteran leadership and a young team hungry to gain respect, I really think we have a shot at being in playoff contention towards the end of the year. I don't know if we have enough talent to make the playoffs in the very rough AFC, but I truly believe we are going to turn it around significantly now.

i agree with you 95%, only thing i don't agree on is us having year with some growing pains.....call me crazy but think this will be a playoff wild card season!!!

It was actually fun to watch a Dolphins game again! Granted it is only the 2nd preseason game and the more complex schemes aren't used at this point, but both sides of the ball played well.

The Vegas over under on the Dolphins this year is 5 wins, bet the over!

This may be a good bet... I think RW and Chad alone will give us 5 wins..

I really noticed the attitude of the OL and the entire offense. Having Ricky back to form is really a big boon for us, even Jills fans are saying they don't want to face the old Ricky again.

I can't wait for the season to begin. I don't know how many games our Phins will win, but I GUARANTEE it will be more than one.

GO PHINS~!

that´s exactly what I thought.. our D seemed to finally develop a bit of a swagger.. I was great seeing guys celebrating TOGETHER after making plays.. Unfortunatley I´m the kind of fan that seems to be excited before every season so I´ll be carefull not to be dissapointed but one thing is for sure: we will be a better footballteam than last year..

We have to beat the Jets and Bills to have any realistic playoff chance, its not impossible but its not very realistic.

We are still a ways off, especially considering who we have to play in our division. The Pats will always be tough to deal with, the Bills are much improved, and now we have the new Jets. Pennington was good in NY when healthy (he beat us a few times), but Favre will take them to a whole new level...at least for a year or two.
However, for the first time in nearly a decade it appears that we are at least moving in the right direction.

I certainly think we have a good shot at .500. The only reason i'm not predicting playoffs is because the AFC East has become the best division in football IMO. As others have mentioned, its the new Jets, rebuilt Bills, and the Pats (who i think are on the way out). No doubt in my min we will be much better than last year but Playoffs? playoffs? what are you talkin about? playoffs?

I said last night that the Bills, Jets, and Pats were saying to themselves, "ah $hit, those two "gimme's" aren't going to be so easy!" Playing the Fins is going to be tough, especially with the style of smash-mouth football that we are playing. I really feel sad (well, not really) for the opposing linebackers and DBs, having to get thumped by Ricky/Ronnie/Parmale/Cobbs all night - they all run STRONG!
