I've never said this about a pro football franchise but.....Props to Raider nation. They are true fans who some how some way still show up to the Raiders' games even despite how bad that team has sucked for as long as they have.

I feel so fortunate to have somone like Wayne owning this team. Maybe one day Al Davis will realize what a cancer he is and if he really does care about the team, he'll take a back seat. Somthing tells me that will never happen though. Heres to all you football fans out there on the west coast that still believe.

Oh and dol-fans, dont take this as a sign of dis-loyalty to our franchise. I just got to thinking about how lucky we are to have an owner that can pull the strings necessary to bring in the people we've brought in over the years, and he has the decency to not meddle.

It feels so great to know that our owner wants the team to succeed just as much as we do, and he's not some psycho like Michael Jackso- erm, i mean Jerry Jones or those idiots in Detroit the Ford family.

Jimmy Johnson, Nick Saban, Dom Capers, Mularkey, Turner, Gailey, Bates, yes even Wanny (he was a great defensive coordinator atleast. should have stayed one) and now Parcells and co. featuring Henning and Sparano. Hell Cam was even touted as an offensive genius before he got here.

I know we've been hearing all this talk about Wayne wanting to sell the team, but with the way the rebuilding process has gone thus far i'm hoping that it may change his mind.

When i saw a post that said Rush Limbaugh might become 50% owner of this team, i freaked the hell out. If that happens, we may end up changing our team logo to a Schwastika and moving to play at some hick town where black people dont exist. It wasnt until then that i started reflecting on the ownership situation. It wasnt until now that my focus is on the raiders that i realized how much an owner can screw with your team, ala Davis. I just hope we can finish the season strong and make some noise in the playoffs for Wayne to not bail on us.

Here's to you Wayne, your a classy dude.

I think WH has gotten alot of crap for just doing everything he can to make the team better. You're right..He's no Al Davis. And as far as props for Fader nation, they can sit and spin. If a team is your team...It's your team. End of story. I'm not going to high 5 anyone for doing what they should be doing. Those fans are largely a bunch of jerks that I'm not interested in complimenting at all.

Just because Wayne isn't like Davis doesn't necessarily mean he's good either.

I dunno man, its not somthing i've thought about alot in the past but things are clearing up for me.

I think the most you can ask of an owner is to not meddle too much. I think the fact that our owner can pull some super serious strings tells me he's not your average cat. We're lucky to have this guy is all i'm saying.

I agree with Goon, Wayne has done EVERYTHING he could do make this a winning franchise again. He even bought Saban a huge bubble to play around in  because that is what he thought could help the team. He spends money to make this team better and there is no doubt about that.

I've read past posts and threads putting a lot of crap on his shoulders, but all I have seen him do is EVERYTHING he could do. He is trying to win, and this turnaround is a clear example of his efforts, just as was Sabans freak 9-7 false hope season. He Tries, he really does try.

Wayne is really hit and miss. He hit a homerun this time around though. I've always liked him because he lets the people who know football do the work without much interference.

people's perception of Wayne tends to be very off. Before Parcells came in, Wayne made most of the hires himself. He really did try and hire the best guys possible, and really wanted this team to succeed (practice bubble that he paid for with his own money), but his evaluation of coaches was pretty bad. Wayne wants this team to win people, and now with a legend in parcells running the show, Wayne can toss out his money and be more assured that it will be a wise investment, as Parcells evaluating skills are 2nd to none.

I've always thought that an owner's job, his only job, is to hire people to run a team and throw around ****loads of money when necessary. Huizinga's not going to sell before 2012, which means he's going to see a couple uncapped years and as we all know he will be more than happy to make it rain on some top flight players if it means bringing a championship to Miami.

As for the jab at Limbaugh, grow the hell up. There's an old usenet/forum rule that once somebody brings out the Nazi insult, the conversation is over. You might not like Limbaugh or his politics (I don't really like the guy and only agree with him about 25% of the time), but he's clearly no kind of fascist and he's also clearly not such an idiot that he'd kill his nest egg by moving it to some bum**** town (not that the other owners would approve such a move.)

I read somewhere that he was trying to sell before Obama takes over, but that could be in the middle of our superbowl run
