here are several hypothetical situations for the dolphins in the offseason where you HAVE to choose one or the other. here we go:

sign eric moulds or terrell owens?
both have problems with their coaches, but both are very good receivers who may come cheap after having a sour ending to their respective years with their teams. obviously those are red flags, but possibly to our advantage?

pay a lot of money for a free agent/trade for a QB or draft a QB in the first round
tough to say, but if i HAD to do it, i'd draft a guy and coach him up right

trade UP in the first round to get a player or trade DOWN to collect more draft picks
if we can trade up to get leinart, i'd do it easily. otherwise i'd trade down and get more picks, as we're pretty low on picks right now

trade ricky williams or keep ricky williams
i'd package ricky with another pick to move up in the first

your thoughts? or other scenarios

If I had to pick one of the recievers I would take T O . Unless a great pick for quarterback comes our way I would pick up a QB in the latter rounds. Also I would look at what QB's are our on the freeagent market. Anything would be an up grade over Gus. I want to keep our pick and do the best we can when it is our turn to pick.
I would not trade Ricky Williams usless someone wants to give us a 1st round pick and thats not going to happen, So we keep Ricky. I tell you Ricky is going to be something else next season. And I want him on our team.

Moulds or Owens?
I'd sign T.O. Yeah, he has problems with his coaches, but at the same time he's never had a hard-a$$ like Saban that would keep him in check. Plus, he's the best WR in the game, problems or not. That being said I don't want him coming hear and pulling the same crap, if he comes I want the football player, not the outspoken coach/team-bashing money hingry T.O.

Money or Draft QB?
Draft, for the same reason you stated, I'd rather groom a QB

Trade up or down?
Down. We have a lot of needs.

Trade or Keep Ricky?
This one's tough. I'd trade him only if we got something of value for him, not just some late round pick or 3rd string guy. Other than that, I'd keep him. The Duo seems to work pretty good, or at least has potential if we stop acting so predictable with the way we use them.

i like moulds, if only because hes been a fin-killer

i really like your idea of packaging ricky+ a pick for a higher pick.

at first glance, i like the idea of trading down because i think the draft is deep with the fin's positions of need

I would draft a QB, but not necessarily in the first;

I would draft Ricky, but only if it were for a decent player who isn't over the hill. It would probably have to be a starting DB or LB to persuade me to off load him. Also it depends on RW attitude in the off season. if mentally he is right I may be reluctant to let him go;

I would look at a vet WR, but neither of those two. I still think Booker has something to offer;

And to me the big one--If a top class player is available IN SABAN'S opinion, then I would draft up to get him. I am not against stockpiling draft picks either.

If we got Moulds there are people on our defense that he would just have to never talk to because there's some ill-will there. Moulds is and has always been a spitter. He has spit in both Sam Madison's and Patrick Surtain's faces.

As for the questions....well, given the same price I'd def go with T.O. I don't see why we can't sign an older QB AND draft one, to be honest. I would generally prefer to trade down and collect picks, and would actually prefer to trade a pick this year for a higher one next year (i'd give up our second rounder for future first in a heartbeat). And trading Ricky would have to depend on the price offered. I'd do it for a second rounder or if someone were offering us a significant move up in first round pick.

I wouldnt want Owens or Moulds. Nobody has bothered mentioning that before TO was a b-hole in Philly, he basically screwed the Ravins, and before that, he was CANCER in SF. He would sell the entire team out if it was to his benefit. I dont think Moulds character is much better. There is a reason that a depleted Buffalo team is sitting his disgruntled a$$ this weekend. Do we really want to see that in Miami next year

Drafting down is actually a good idea if we consider who is on the board at the time. It would have to be a draft-time decision

Ricky will never bring in return what he really means to our team right now. Maybe after next year. Lets wait and see. Dont forget how wicked of a RB he was just 2 years ago....

Yea but Kast said if we HAD to pick from the scenerios given, meaning we HAVE to choose T.O. or Moulds.
