Who didn't think that this would happen?

I mean I want to know the people who are surprised that the QB situation is where it is right now...

Just bring in Davey and give him a crash course in linehan coordination and throw him in there! He won't do any worse! But i bet he'll be more fun to watch than the bums we have out there now!!!!!!!!!!!!

The QB situation is dreadful. He's nothing worse than what we have now. I'd love to see it..
 
Let's sign Couch and Davey. The two scrubs battling for the spot now are worthless.

You're not hating on Gus as well. You don't understand my point. You're just bashing AJ because he made one mistake in the game. But yet Gus hasn't done anything at all, not even got points on the board.

how many times have i said just because we hate on one QB, does not mean we are "for" the other.

Look, if Gus threw an INT for a TD, we'd be all over him too. This is reminiscient of last year and the Wanny era. We don't need flashbacks.

Gus is crap as well, but AJ? i expected better of him.

but, by your logic we'd have to criticize Chambers if we criticized Boston?

You just said in another thread that after last season you knew he was horrible. How can you expect better from him? We all saw his play from last year remember? We all know that he loves to throw pick 6's.

change the topic? i'm doing the same thing you are requesting of me, but at a different position.

your logic (and correct me if i'm wrong), is that since i bashed AJ, i am an AJ hater because i didn't bash Gus too, right? so, if i bash just ONE of the QBs, i am a hater, but not if i hate on BOTH QBs... then thats cool? Hating is hating, why do you care who i do it to? Gus didn't throw an INT for a TD. while i didn't praise him, no reason to hate on him at the moment. AJ just committed a cardinal sin on this team - INT for 6.

On expecting better of AJ - call it optimism and hope. with a better coach and a *marginally* better o-line (now with stellar RBs), i was thinking he could improve from last year. He has actually gotten worse. If you compare his completion percentage and TD-to-INT ratio, both have gone DOWN this preseason from last year.

He hasn't gotten worse. He has a better QB rating this preseason then he did last season. Completion % is also up from last year. It was 53.7 last year. It's now 56.7 after tonights game. He's thrown 1 TD and 2 INT's. Last year he threw 7 TD's and 8 INT's. That looks the same to me.

Does anyone remember which F/A Qb's were available this past off season..was Gus really the best we coulda got?

Well...I backed AJ..but he had to step up tonight and look decent and he sucked. Im sorry but Gus succks to. So...we are pretty much screwed..but at least we are moving in the right direction. How did we let our QB situation get this bad....this is unreal....absolutley unreal.

I know Garcia and Warner were available. Gus was the best we could get because he was suppose to know the system.
 
Kelly Holcomb would have been perfect in Miami for a year or two stop-gap. As would Trent Dilfer.

Leinhan sold Saban on a bill of goods with Gus.
