And even if it was the team is bad enough that it probably WONT be necessary.
Tank if purposedly done should only be done next season IF and only if both Manning and malealeva come out.
The last season worth tanking of the last 15 years was the Andrew Luck season. Thats it.
Every other draft has been littered with overhyped overdrafted first round qbs and underscouted talents like mahomes and allen that end up being drafted without the necessity of a tank, just good scouting.
And when tua went down i was convinced tanking for ewers could be a good strat but he is as injury prone or even more than tua itself and also Tua insists on keep playing so we are in for another season of mediocre no man’s land qb play, so in my opinion, TANKING ON PURPOSE THIS PARTICULAR SEASON MAKES NO SENSE.
What should be done is fier Grier and firesale stocking on draft picks WITH GOOD SCOUTING

I can't say it enough, we wouldn't be able to tank if we tried so we shouldn't even think about it. It's ridiculous to plan a tank as well. As long as these numb nuts are here we'll win enough to drop in the draft but in reality we would blow the pick anyway. Loser franchises do loser things and we are tops at it along with the Jets. We can work out of it ala the Lions/Wash but it'll take a full house cleaning. We won't win **** with these buffoons in charge.

You don't have to tank when you're bad, and it doesn't matter for us cause we're not a QB away. Qb is far from our biggest issue. We need to draft or sign a capable backup but Tua is good and we have him for this and next year at least. I don't know how we salvage this team honestly

We're not tanking. We are just a bad football team.

I would still look to trade off some assets who aren't part of our long term future and won't hurt us financially.

Mostert, Campbell, Ogbah, Armstead, Holland, OBJ but we would probably have to give him away.

Our only chance to tank is trading tua, and I don't see that happening. It's apparent that the O is a different caliber with him. Weaver is who needs to tighten up.

You cant be serious that a qb that has had only 1 healthy season of his last 7 and has only won against a winning team of the last 12 ( the freaking cowboys ) is really good enough.
This is a qb league and Tua is no better than Tannehill

Nobody is trading for Tua. Teams that need a QB would rather draft a QB so they have him on the cheap for the next 5 years. We had our window to win when we had Tua on the cheap and it was a failure. Now our window is closed.

This team isn't, hasn't been, or will be tanking. I can only think of 1 example in my lifetime of an actual tank and the stars pretty much had to align for that to be allowed to happen ... then it had to go according to plan.

This is just a bad, poorly coached and planned football team. There are a surprising amount of bad teams with glim futures on the horizon ... I'm sure all of em have an eye on Arch. Let's see just how bad they are next season.

Even when we tried to tank in 2019 we screwed it up by winning too many games, then telling our HC to lose games, thus costing us first and third round draft picks since he held a grudge after we fired him 2 years later and he turned snitch. We ended up with the QB we were tanking for but as it turned out there was a better QB in the draft who we missed out on.
