If Ross is a smart businessman, it would be at least a two year rebuild strategy. First, get rid of all coaches and management. Find a way to get rid of the expensive contracts. This is a weak QB class so focus on oline, dline and secondary this draft and aim to tank next season to get someone like Manning in the following draft. Will be tough to follow but necessary.

Even when we tried to tank in 2019 we screwed it up by winning too many games, then telling our HC to lose games, thus costing us first and third round draft picks since he held a grudge after we fired him 2 years later and he turned snitch. We ended up with the QB we were tanking for but as it turned out there was a better QB in the draft who we missed out on.
All those 2020 QB's are pretty good, it was good year to have a high draft pick. I wouldn't consider any of them better than the other to be honest

You don't have to tank when you're bad, and it doesn't matter for us cause we're not a QB away. Qb is far from our biggest issue. We need to draft or sign a capable backup but Tua is good and we have him for this and next year at least. I don't know how we salvage this team honestly
How is part time qb good? 5yr no playoff win. Every players on this team need competition. Even if Tua start. I don't see us in SB.

You cant be serious that a qb that has had only 1 healthy season of his last 7 and has only won against a winning team of the last 12 ( the freaking cowboys ) is really good enough.
This is a qb league and Tua is no better than Tannehill
Well, you were RONG about Tannehill as he showed well in Tennessee.
It comes as no surprise that you would be RONG about Tua, too!

You guys are crazy with tank talk. You should never want to lose. Ever.

We arent that bad. We were competitive all day yesterday, unlike the past 5 weeks. The game came down to a few plays and Tua looked sharp besides that safety.
Competitive against a team with a losing record. Does the NFL give out trophies for that? If so, the Dolphins are definitely the champions.

What makes you think Lamaleava is worth tanking for? He isn't even on the level of Shedeur or Cam this year lmao. 59.8 QBR has him rated as the 63rd QB lol. Stop buying the hype that the '26 draft is the draft for QB lol. Manning can't even unseat a late day 2 pick guy in Ewers. He's all name and zero merit thus far.

There is no way McD or Grier "want to tank," their jobs are on the line.

Players NEVER try to tank.

And our owner attempted to tank for Burrow and it blew up in his face with the meida and spawned a league investigation.

The term "tank" should be replaced with "rooting for losses" - that's a much more accurate term for it.

The 2025 draft is a little weak at the top but has depth especially on defense, this is probably the reason they reached on Patrick Paul last year not many great OT prospects coming out with Armstead possibly gone next season or injured at any given moment.

We're not tanking. We are just a bad football team.

I would still look to trade off some assets who aren't part of our long term future and won't hurt us financially.

Mostert, Campbell, Ogbah, Armstead, Holland, OBJ but we would probably have to give him away.
What is up with OBJ? Did he even play yesterday? I never understood that signing with Malik Washington and a couple other young developing WR's...Grier loves splash!

You are 100% correct on players never tanking. They play for stats. Stats make them rich. Now, Owners + GM's have different motivations. I am still impressed with what Flores did after our tank for Tua with that team in 2019 going on a late-season run. Regardless, if you did not like Flores (mainly what you read about him "leaked" to the media by Dolphins brass), that was a good job of coaching up that year. He just should have kept O'Shea as OC the next year. Letting him go was a dumb move.

I always liked Tannebomb. Tough SOB. He was the most sacked QB at least one year and kept right on playing behind that atrocious OLine! I thought we should have went after him as QB2 this offseason. He could give you a steady vet presence back there and win games.
