And it wont happen in 2010.

This team needs an infusion of talent, both FA and via draft, in at least 4 positions.
ILB (2, 1 via draft, 1 via FA)
OLB
NT
FS

On offense; WR x 2 as there is no other #1 WR on roster, TE, RG, RB.

There's 10 without much analysis.

We've got a ways to go here people.
 
so I guess we're 2-3 years away from playing like the Colts, Vikes, Saints.
 
Cool. I'll buy a sleep chamber so I can instantly wake up when it's 2011 and maybe then we'll have a chance.
 
we only need 1 WR (a true #1, but still, only 1 of them) and we dont need a RB this year. Next year for certain (maybe 2)

TE, OLB, FS - I think we already have on our roster in TE - Haynos/Nalbone, OLB- Wake, FS - Clemons

Haynos was used primarily as a blocking TE. Unable to stretch the field or command dbl coverage.

Nalbone never saw the playing field. What are you talking about?

Wake is a DE, not an OLB. Never played OLB, never covered a TE/RB.

Clemons struggled to win playing time from a bust of a FA in Wilson at S.

JT and Porter are ready for the retirement home. Who fills in?

Why not? We have several pieces. We could have our QB. That's clearly THE need position to begin thinking about being relevant.

BTW, there was NO DIFFERENCE between us and the vikings/saints last year. Vikes got hammered in the wild card round, and the Saints were 2 years removed from their 1st playoff appearance in 7 years. These 2 teams(and the Jets) prove that fortunes can turn in a hurry.

Stop being so short-sided.

At the rate of 2 players per year per draft, and 1 per FA, that's 2-3 years.
We should be great in 2013 if this regime stays.
 
How many Super Bowl teams have been elite at every position? Every team in the playoffs has flaws. The Vikings' secondary is mediocre, the Saints LBs outside of Vilma are JAGs, the Jets are starting Mark ****ing Sanchez at QB, while the Colts still suck at running and stopping the run. Last year the team with worst O-Line in the playoffs won it all against a one-dimensional passing team. The idea that you need a perfect roster to make the playoffs is ridiculous. Stay healthy, get lucky, work to your strengths, and you can contend.

maybe we can ask goodell if miami could forfeit the 2010 and 2011 seasons, as they have absolutely no shot.
