Going into the Bills game I was saying that, that game will tell me what type of team we have. Have we taken the next step or are will the same average team we've been the past couple of years. And this was not considering the Bills would be playing with a 5th string QB and two hobbled RB's. After watching the game.... i've come to the conclusion that this is the same old team. After game 3 i was certain that we were headed in the right direction but now after analyzing things further and with more data i'm not so sure. I'm not saying we aren't, just that I'm not as confident that we are as i was earlier in the season. Here are my reasons why

1. After taking a closer look at the 3 wins, the only good team we beat were the colts. The browns suck, and surprisingly so do the Falcons

2. We were fortunate to play the colts early in the season before teams got enough film on us to see what we like to do and how we like to use our players. It seems as thought the more we put on film the worst we play. I don't think that's a coincidence. I think when other teams have the data to break down our tendencies, study our players to identify their strengths and weaknesses, it limits our effectiveness on offense.

3. We haven't played one complete game so far this season. We've had to come from behind in Every game so far and That's not good.
4. We're giving up a record number of sacks... recipe for disaster.
5. We've had trouble all year converting 3rd and short (1-2) not to mention 3rd and long.
6. We allow other teams to convert too many 3rd and longs. again not good.
7. And the most troubling thing is that it doesn't appear that our QB is getting any better. I've seen no improvement through 6 games with his deep passes and pocket presence. I was hoping with every game those things would get better but that hasn't been the case. The deep pass i'll be a bit more patient on as the online needs to be able to hold blocks for those to happen but the lack of awareness is troubling.

8. Not sure if any of you remember that version of Madden football where they introduced the QB cone of vision. Well Tannehills cone of vision seems to suck. He can't see a defender that might be a yard or two away from the WR while he's looking at the WR, which was evident on the pic 6 in the last game. The guy was two yards away from the WR sitting on the route ,and he threw it as if the WR was all alone. Same with the floater in the endzone, he made two mistakes on that. Mistake #1 he didn't read the two deep safety coverage pre-snap. 2, when tannehill "Flashed" he didn't look to the back side to see if there was a safety there, he just floated it up thinking the coast was clear. If there was no backside safety, thats a TD. But there was. Thats his bad.

All in all, i feel like this team is at least 2 years away from really making a push in the playoffs. I just hope we are patient enough to see it come to fruition. Another regime change would set us back at least 3 more years.

I still think we can go better than .500 in the next 10 games.

Put all our problems, issues and mistakes aside .... two made field goals and we're 4-2 minimum with a shot at 5-1.

We are what our record says we are.

We couldjust as easily be 0-6 as well.

If Tannehill continues throwing picks, we will finish 4-12 , if we can't run the ball .

I predicted 9-7 and I am sticking to it. The tough part of the schedule is over, even though there are no creampuffs in the NFL, other than the Jaguars and they were decent against Denver. We have to fix the O-line above all else but I am optomistic we make the playoffs.

we have been in every game but that new Orleans game. I think we go 9-7 still stop the knee jerk. we are .500 after 6 games, right where I thought we would be at this point

i keep saying every single week since cleveland , we havent played a complete game and this will be the week we put it together...instead of putting it together we seem to be getting worse. the oline is too obvious, theres breakdowns on special teams, inexplicably the defense conitnues to give up looong 3rd down conversions, tannehill is turning the ball over every week, questionable play calling, dropped passes galore, am i missing anything? how can anyone say this is a playoff team? and dont kid yourselves with the we can be 5-1 bulls**t, we clearly got outplayed by atlanta, baltimore and buffalo.

You lose at home after a bye week to the Bills with a 3rd string QB and RB's that are hurting. Tells me all I need to know. RT's pocket awareness is borderline laughable if he played for the jets we would be making fun of him all day long. I really want to like the kid and hope I am %100 wrong but this reminds too much of other QB we have had lately.

I'm thinking 6-10 with wins over the Jets, Buffalo and TB and losses to NE twice, the Jets, Cincy, SD, Carolina and Pittsburgh. It's laughable that folks see Pitt, Carolina and SD as easy wins. Also don't give me the 5-1 BS, we're just as close to 1-5. I just don't see how Bryant McKinnie fixes the team. We still have Martin out there who is really just as bad as Clabo, no TE's who can block and DT's ****ty blitz pickups. Couple that with Safties and LB's who can't cover along with Jimmy Wilson (although hopefully Patterson is back to nickel) and I see a 6 win team. Ireland will finally be fired and the new GM will likely get rid of Philbin as well. New GM/HC will inherit Tanny and give him a shot, we'll see. Long season from here guys.

The first three games we played disciplined football. That discipline (instilled by coaching) is gone. Really hope to see mistake free football on Sunday. If so, we win. No Doubt.
