There are going to be some big changes it looks like.

Last offseason, Saban didnt have have the luxury of having a year under his belt- and based personnel decisions solely on what he saw on tape and what guys like Rick Spielman told him.

But that wont be the case this offseason.

Chris Chambers needs to be restructured or traded. Ive been saying it for years that this guy is inconsistant, but people always liked to use the "well he would be better if Fiedler wasnt throwing the ball."

It wasnt until this week, where he was thrown under the bus, that his inconsistency was finally exposed.

I also believe that Jason Taylor will be outta here next year as well. If a trade happens for Philip Rivers- he will be thrown into the deal. If not, I believe Rivers will be a Jet.

As for Sam Madison and Zack Thomas, I think they will retire as Dolphins.

But most importantly we need a QB, and then a good (not decent) WR for him to throw to. Marty Booker I believe is our best WR right now, and he will eventually pass Chambers on the depth chart.

We need A LOT of help on defense though. Our guys are old, and our secondary is weak.

This is why I doubt Saban will trade a lot of draft picks to move up for a guy like Leinart. Maybe if we are bad enough the rest of the year- we can get Leinart by default. He is the real deal.

A lot of you seem to think that we were destined to go to the playoffs this year because of all our 'talent.' Sorry but the talent isnt there.

We have a mediocre QB, decent WRs, an overachieving offensive line, two great RBs, and old defensive line, fairly old LBs, and a stinky secondary. But this team continues to play their hearts out every week, and that is a sign of GREAT coaching. Just imagine the possibilities when we actually have good players that are playing with the same intensity as these bad players.

Dont get too upset about this team, because over the years- its going to look a lot different.

Saban certaintly did have one arm tied behind his back with only spielmans evaluations. Expect a shakedown this offseason. And not because of this game, but because of the 9 games of play.

He won't restructure, he just got a new deal. Would you? Would you give $ back to your boss?
And the problem with underperforming players is that some people think you get real value for players like them. But if he is underperforming and asking for big $, why should people trade 1strounders for him? And a underperforming CC is still better than a 2nd WR or whatsoever.

"I also believe that Jason Taylor will be outta here next year as well. If a trade happens for Philip Rivers- he will be thrown into the deal."

That's a deep look into the crystal bowl, I still doubt he will be traded. The guy is a coaches dream. Who knows.

Regardless how bad they will play there are still way to many teams which are worse. And honestly the Fins are probabyl the best 3-6 team right know. Only 2 games out of their 6 they were really outplayed. This team is better than 3-6 and there will be more games which they will win.
With Leinart I am not sure. In contrast to this year many teams will be tempted to move up (not like this year) and that will push the price for him. I have no clue about Leinart and how good he is, but I assume Fins will be tempted to pay a hefty price for him. Because moving up to grab him will at least cost them 2 1st rounders and maybe more (like the Eli Manning deal, only that at this time there were 3 really good QBs and next year there seems to be just one sure bet)

I agree except you need to swap JT and Madison. JT won't be going anywhere.

The team played it's heart out for Bates too....and beat the Pats with no running game...and a O-line that played far worse than this years O-line.
The team has a lack of true talent...on both sides of the line...and it's going to take time 2-3 years at best to add new and replace the old.

This is all you've been saying over and over again...big fing deal that Bates and the Fins beat the Pats last season...did you notice how fing lucky they were to win that game...the pulled that out of their A$$.

That was just one game...and that's all you're standing on is that one game.

This team is much better than last year...PERIOD.

If you don't see that...I have no clue what the hell you're watching.

Yeah you are right...last season we had a worse o-line...worse qb...worse D-Line and we beat the Pats last season because the Fins got very very very lucky!!!

So by what you are stating...we did get better but we didn't beat the Pats so we're worse than last season??? Wow you are a moron!!!

Go Fins!!!

So I guess youre saying that we should have hired Jim Bates instead of Saban.

Then why are you wasting your time here when you should be writing a letter to Wayne Huizenga? Tell him that he shouldve just kept Bates because fishypete said so. Meanwhile he shouldve kept Speilman and Chris Foerster as OC. Oh yeah, and I guess you liked Tony Wise as the offensive line coach.

Just pointing out the obvious that you missed in your thread....Bates had them playing hard also. I'm sorry you don't see the real reason the Dolphins lost so many games last season was because of what Ricky did last season....if he played....the Dolphins wouldn't have been a 4-12 team.

I'm watching the same thing you are...a team with two top running backs....with a better O-line....that has only 3 wins so far.

If Ricky played last season, he would have just been injured (just like every other RB on the roster) for the season instead of retired.

First you don't know that, Ricky was running good with the same basic O-line the year before....and second....it was the QB's that were getting killed due to no running game and lousy O-line.

the CBS commentator yesterday said, "just wait until 2006 when Saban gets the players he REALLY wants"...then theyll start going upward. Add Julian Petersen to our LB corps (if Seau retires). Add a good Center and LT thru the draft, Will Poole comes back and Reggie Howard gets a job as a blitzing CB....Reggie Howard CAN tackle and sack QBs, but he cant cover WRs. Bring in a young QB to develop, protect Gus with better o-lineman....next year guys, next year will be a good year, i can feel it already.

The QBs only?

I guess you forgot that Sammy Morris, Travis Minor, Lamar Gordon, and Leneard Henry ALL were injured running behind that line.
