All the good, young, promising coordinators are not quite seasoned enough (Singletary, Tomlin, B-Schotty) and the older, more established vets arent available (Tuna, Cowher)...

Unfortunately, Gailey and Mora ARE probably our best options all things considered...

SCREW SABAN! Oh, and Bellicheck!

And its a bad year for having the #9 when looking for a QB. We are cursed when it comes to QBs and coaches. I dont want Mora. Belichik will eat him for dinner every year. If Shotty really did pull out then I want Cam or Gailey. Then next year I want Wayne to go after Jeff Fisher

What's the difference?

There is never a good year for hiring a coach!!

Every year is a crap shoot. How much seasoning do you need. All seasoning does is mask the true product.

Mangini is my age and is doing his thing with a young OC. We need to take a chance on someone with no history as a head coach in the NFL. I think that Shotty could have been good because the expectations wouldn't have been so high and the sense of loyalty to seasoned veterans wouldn't have meant nothing.

Not that it's going to matter this year. This year we will be working with 2 years with of draft picks. An entirely different team next year. I'm kind of worried about Zach and JT. Either they will be gone or they're going to be mentoring a bunch of youngins':boohoo:

It's not as bad as having the #2 overall pick in a weak draft year like 05.

When Wanny quit there was no one to interview. There was Jim Bates. Wayne took it upon himself to try and strike up interest from Saban. As for Brian S. he probably felt he needed more experience. He's probably correct to think so.

i agree bro. aweful year for needing a new coah, and having the #9 pick.

Didnt we get 4 starters out of the 05 draft and a soon to be starter in Matt Roth?

we had a strong draft, but THAT YEAR was considered weak. last year was possibly among best classes, ever.

If you believe that the Dolphins would be the best opening, then maybe you'd rather have a shot at Pacells, Fisher, or Cowher next year.

There are so many jobs on the hot seat next year, I'm happy the Dolphins have been able to take their time finding the best fit.
