I think they lived up to expectations.
No more or no less.
It is what it is.

Season was a failure. The FA spending frenzy was horrible. Wallace is a waste of money. Team went balls to the walls to re brand this team and Tannehill as the next great QB of this franchise. This was supposed to be a Playoff team that would rival NE for the division. And we finish behind the Jets in the division. With two weeks to make the Playoffs we put up 7 total points. Are you kidding me? Get Failbin and co out of here tomorrow morning.

I think Wallace was the only one of our four big money contracts who was actually a good signing.

Being a diehard dolphins fan. What i feared is true we are no better than last year. When will this drought end.I think they were lucky to be 8 and 8.We are in sad shape with no end in sight.

Wallace is ok... He is rather soft for a #1 but we all have to agree that he can get open deep. It's not his fault that ball is either underthrown/overthrown most of the times.

Meh...I thought 8-8 would have been an accomplishment when the season started. I didn't see the talent or the right pieces in place anyway...but it was still a very disappointing season the way it ended. Second year in a row going 2-4 in the division. We were 5-1 in the conference outside our division but until you get a winning record in your own division you're at the mercy of tie breakers and different scenarios to make the playoffs. Unfortunately for this team playing 3 divisional games to end the season is a recipe for failure.

I, too, had the phins @ 8-8 and missing the playoffs. It has never been so frustrating to be right.

The lone bright spot this yr is Tannehill improved.

My upgrades for 2014; Draft 2 OL & get a new OC.

I thought this was an 8 win team before the season.. But they controlled their own destiny with games against the Bills and the Jets down the stretch. And blew it. This is an embarrassing team but imo thats just embarrassment to the next level

Wallace is not a #1 receiver but is being paid like one. The Dolphins still need a #1 receiver. Please don't give me the BS the Philbin/Sherman don't need/have any #1 receiver in their offense. Their offense blows anyway and hopefully they won't be back next year. The Dolphins need a big target that can go up for the ball and also break some tackles. Wallace is a nice nice complimentary type speed receiver but of course the QB we have can't throw deep accurately. Hartline is a nice #3 receiver who can make nice catches on the sidelines but won't break any tackles. Gibson is a decent player and a perfect #4. Matthews should be fighting to make the team next year. Sucks that the team still has so many holes.

The Defensive signings and picks were disastrous and that alone should cost Ireland his job. Paying two clowns big money and now having to replace them because they are liabilities. While also having to replace two aging DTs who came up short this year and a "probowl*" DE that disappeared when they needed him most.

Agreed, I was hoping all season that today I would be able to start a thread about eating crow for my 8-8 prediction, unfortunately it was not meant to be
