when they went fishing for Harbaugh at the end of last year and got caught, thier actions basically told the team and fans that they have NO faith in the system or players. The press confrence giving Tony a 3 year extension was a real slap in the face. Like anyone believed it.


I think Tony is a fair coach in the NFL, I think he is done here because the Owner and moronic GM have disgraced him/disrespected him so badly its hard for anyone to respect him.

Now the way ross and ireland handled it was disgraceful..
Though a really good coach could turn that into motavation
A lot of those players in the locker-room stand to lose jobs as well.
Ireland gave tony a bad hand tony plays bad poker and there ya go..

The cross country trip merely accentuated a miserable off-season. Nothing more. It didn't create poor play on the field.

this opine of more tony bashing makes me think....if by some miracle of all miracles, we still go 10-6 after starting out 0-3, does tony keep his job if we make it in playoffs?

I don't blame Ross. He's done what you can reasonably expect a good owner to do: he stays out of the football part of it and he pays for free agents. He even bailed out our sorry fanbase so the game wasn't blacked out.

Now he just needs to clean house and bring in fresh football minds. Preferably after this season. Wouldn't want some interim coach putting up like 7 wins and screwing our draft.
