I just wanted to give Morstead his props for the kick he had after the safety. This play won’t really be talked about but you could arguably say it won us the game. After kicking it off Sherfield’s ass, he booted the ball 74 yards all the way down to the 6 yard line. Props to the coverage team as well for getting down there and making a quick tackle. Huge play in a huge game.

To be fair, the “Butt Punt” was 100% not his fault. Morstead was an excellent FA signing.

Yes, no doubt that punt after the butt punt was huge. I was saying why aren't they going to kick it but he crushed it. Every yard and second mattered at that point.

Many were up in arms about the play calling there (no passes), but I think McD just wanted time off the clock at that point.

Yeah, he's pushed all the right buttons, but I was one of the "many" that were up in arms. I thought they should've chucked it on 2nd down. If Moorstead did get the punt off, Bills may have had great field position. His punt post butt punt, was a game saver.

That was huge. A lot of times they don’t kick it that far. I thought we were cooked after the safety seeing how easy it is to move the ball between the 20’s today

Not sure if it's been discussed, but I believe the Dolphins passed on 3rd down when the Bills had used all of their timeouts.

If the Dolphins run on 3rd down they can run the clock to about 50 seconds. From there, the best play is probably taking an intentional safety rather than risk a punt - it's a close call.

Then the Bills would receive the free kick with about 40 seconds remaining rather than 1 minute, 20 seconds.

I realize that McDaniel can't assume Morstead's huge free kick, but it seems that taking the intentional safety is the percentage play by a slight margin.

mcdaniel alluded to it in his post game press conference, the LOS seemed to be going backwards why he threw the ball there. we couldnt even kneel to eat more clock since the LOS was pushed back 2 yards on first two plays
