I live in Tampa so I'm getting this game as I'm sure many of you that live in Miami are. Here's what I've noticed for those not watching.

Highs: Dan Wilkinson played two series and had two tackles and a sack. Nice debut. Very disruptive.

Joey Harrington looks pretty good. He made a few very solid throws to Fred Gibson and was a dropped pass away from having a TD. He has a way to go still, but nice job.

The defense looked pretty good, the secondary is obviously weak, but the front seven have looked solid, and the secondary looks better than last week, no 50+ yarders yet...

And Travis Minor has looked good on special teams. If he's back this year, special teams is the reason.

Lows: Our line looked awful. Dumb penalties, poor protection. Daunte got to take his first contact, which he survived, but I'm sure he got a little closer to the Bucs D than he'd have liked to.

Bennie Anderson looks bad, he's jumped early a few times now.

Jason Allen gave up a nice pass to Ike Hilliard in man coverage, it was negated by a hold, but still. Ike Hilliard is second-rate at best, I know Jason is still very green, but that's not gonna cut it.

And finally, I've got to listen to Ron Jaworski who is AWFUL at color commentary. I can hardly stand Ron on ESPN but doing color for the Bucs he's brutal. Low point came when Ronnie Brown made a solid blitz pick-up and actually de-helmeted the blitzer. Jaworski said Brown had gotten blown up and made it seem like he had done poorly. If you know the play I'm referring to you know that Jaws was flat out wrong.

Are you sure he wasn't talking about Ronnie being beaten on a blitz by the Bucs back up MLB? That was the play that caused Daunte's fumble.

Thanks for the update. I'm checking stats on the computer and it looks like we are doing pretty well. Our o-line definitely needs to get it together, but then that's why we have a preseason.

Ronnie missed a couple of lanes. I'm a little concerned that after criticisms of dancing too much last year he seems to be putting his head down and trying to bull ahead for a tough 3 or 4 yards. He needs to keep his head up.

Also, Cpep didn't make one read all night. Every play he locked on to a WR and waited for him to get open. I'd like to see him make some reads and not stare down the primary WR.

Last point.....I know it's preseason, but we HAVE to take deep shots. Mularkey's offense thus far has been too conservative for my liking. If it's solely due to preseason I am fine, but I sure hope we open it up a bit @ Pitt.

After the first few possessions we played a great first half. Ronnie and Daunte both looked really good, WTF are you talking about?

I didn't say either played bad......why don't you hone up on your comprehension skills.

Oh, and by the way, that 9 and a half minute drive for the touchdown was classic Mularkey. If that's too conservative for you, too bad.

Oh and by the way, no deep passes and our QB is Culpepper. You think that maybe throwing one or two may better utilize our talent?

I agree about Jaworski. When I watch the local preseason games here, his head is so far up McNabbs butt his shoulders are brown. Show some dignity man!

Good & bad regarding o-line & sacks

Couldn't believe Pep was sacked twice in a row. Line's got to get it together. Good thing is Pep was put in the dirt twice and leg seems okay. Thank you GOD!

The way Mularkey works is wear down the opposing defense and later in the game abuse them with it. I think that strategy perfectly utilizes our talent.

No, the play I was referring to wasn't Culpepper's fumble. Ronnie did actually make a solid blitz pick up.

And I say Harrington still has a ways to go because he still doesn't look 100% comfortable. It looks like he's rushing in everything he does.

I agree. Wear down the defenses and then go for the jugglar when their down!

I also hope to see some long passes, but from the posts it sounded like TB was blitzing DC had no time. Given the surrounding circumstances it would make sense for MM to adjust by calling for shorter drops and quicker passes.
