This years draft is deep with cornerbacks. Therefore I believe the Fins could find really good talent at those positions in the 2nd and even 3rd rounds. The large group of really talented cornerbacks that the Fins will be able to choose from IMO are: Leon Hall (Round 1), Darrelle Revis (also a return specialist, Round 1), Chris Houston (moving up the charts, still hoping he could fall to Fins early in round 2), Marcus McCauley (big and fast, nice pickup in Round 2), and Aaron Ross (Round 2)... I think the guys in bold are all guys Fins should look at in Round 2... Fins should not draft a CB in Round 1 as the cornerback is deep with talent.

The Wide Reciever is also very deep with talent. The Fins dont necessarily NEED a Wide Reciever but they could use a speedy guy who can go across the middle. I believe guys like Calvin Johnson, Dwayne Bowe, Dwayne Jarrett, Ted Ginn, and Robert Meachem will all be off the board by the Fins pick in Round 2. With that said, I still think there will be a lot of talent to choose from in Rounds 2 and 3 to find a nice slot reciever, and maybe even future #1 or #2 reciever. Guys like Sidney Rice, Jason Hill, Steve Smith, Aundrae Allison, Paul Williams, and Johnnie Lee Higgins are all great recievers that can be taken in Rounds 2 or 3 that can make an instant impact on the Fins offense.
The Fins biggest need by far, and something that needs to be addressed more than once in this draft is the offensive line. Unfortunately, I do not believe there is a lot of depth for the Olinemen this year. For that reason, the Fins must grab the Olinemen they like EARLY. No way Fins can grab Joe Thomas so with that said, I think Fins need to target Levi Brown or maybe even athletic Joe Staley early in the draft. Other guys with potential are Tony Ugoh, James Marten, Ryan Harris, and Doug Free.
The final position the Fins need to address is of course, the QB position. In this draft, the QB position falls off after the first 2 picks. Brady Quinn and Jamarcus Russell are worlds apart from the rest. I, myself, am rooting for the Fins to grab Quinn, but most likely Mueller and Cam are going to have to find a gem in later rounds. I believe the Fins should pass on Stanton as he isn't very mentally tough, and in Miami and in every other NFL city for that matter, Qbs that aren't mentally tough, don't make it. I like Trent Edwards but only from what I have read, as I don't get any Stanford games. Maybe the Jay Cutler of the draft, and the Fins could get him maybe in the 4th? But most likely, in the 3rd. I do not like Troy Smith as Heisman trophy Qbs haven't equated to much in the NFL in recent memory. I'd go with Kevin Kolb if Edwards if off the board. Palmer is mistake-prone, Palko has a weak arm, Beck is already 28? I believe. Zabransky might have the intangibles as he knows how to win, plain and simple. He could be taken in the late rounds as well.
I believe the Fins should draft one CB, two OTs(more picks, more chances to hit on a gem), one OG, one C, one QB, one WR, one DE, and one NT (not in that order, but rather BPA).
Six offensive spots and 3 defensive spots seems fair as our defensive has been dominant while our offensive could use major help (Hopefully, besides the draft, Fins will get Ricky back for some major help).
My mock which is based on needs is as follows
Round 1- Levi Brown OT (I want Quinn but most likely wont happen, finally draft a LT to solidify that side of the line for years)
Round 2- Chris Houston CB (shutdown corner we've needed)
Round 2- Paul Williams WR (Everyone will say huge reach here, but he is a beast..Many say he would be a steal in Round 3)
Round 3- Trent Edwards QB (future prospect, will have time learning behind another Trent perhaps?)
Round 4- Paul Solai DT (raw, will have a year to learn, huge run stuffer)
Round 6- Jacob Bender OT(small school guy from Nicholls St., big guy at 6'6, will be a Houch project but could be a steal)
Round 6-Cj Ah You DE (simple...fast)
Round 7-Dan Mosez C (Had a great college career, will have a chip on his shoulder as he falls and falls)
Round 7- Dan Santucci OG (Will be a prospect, needs to get bigger)
