The first thing he will do is re-sign Grimes, which will endear him to Phans, and make Ross look good. I expect him to re-sign Clemons as well to solidify the secondary.

I think he is going to let Starks and Solia both test FA to see their value on the open market. I believe the players will be surprised at it not being as high as they thought it would be, and there are some other options.

I don't see him signing an Albert to huge money but, expect him to spend around $15M on the OL, with Collins the #1 target.

I can see him going after Blunt as a bit of a splash at RB.

Past that, I don't see much more in FA, other than depth.

IMO, we don't need a whole lot other than improvement from within.

This is your gameplan rather than his lol

Dont agree with all but solid plan

I dont have a friggin clue what his gameplan will be.

As per the title, it is thoughts on Hickey's game plan, and these are mine. It is also what I believe he is going to do.

None of us know what his gameplan is. All we can do is hope he makes the best choices for the team and not mortgage the team's future.

How could he mortgage the future in the situation we are in?

I am curious as too how many current Bucs players whose contracts have ended would be interested in joining Miami. There are always players who follow coaches etc, just wonder how many would bucs would improve the team that would be available.

Given that Philbin doesn't like playing rookies I think the O Line will be addressed in free agency. I think Albert will be a target assuming he hits the market since we know Philbin wanted him last year.

Aren't you the same guy saying just two weeks ago that Starks was undervalued? I think if he test FA, he is gone. Some other team will see his value too. This will most likely be his last good contract. As far as Soliai, I am not a big fan of his, but if he test FA...he is probably gone too. So, if Hickey lets both these guys go to FA...he has started off wrong. At a minimum, one of the two needs to get paid. Unfortunately, it will probably be Soliai due to age.

Yes. I was and still believe that and want to keep him. I'm thinking that he is going to want more than his value, and that we can get a better deal if he tests the market, could be wrong.

I'm having second thoughts on Soliai due to seeing who else is projected to be available. Joseph from the Giants tops the list, and it depends on money.

Agree, and the play of top picks on the OL in their first year adds to going to FA. Philbin needs to win now, and likely will want Albert but, I'm hoping we don't pay that much, as we have talked about for any LT. It's gonna be a tuff call for Hickey.

I'd also expect, now that Benton was hired as an Asst O-Line coach, that any F/A O-Lineman who was coached by Benton in the past, would be a target for Miami in F/A. I like the prospects of O-Lineman with WCO experience in F/A, Miami "MAY" be able to sign 2 starters, even before draft day.
