Just a few thoughts after wathcing some of the player intervies on aqua vision.
Ronnie brown- sounds good however i jsut really wanted him to say "im 100%"
Ted Ginn- really sounds like he is adamant about working to earn his role as our Number 1
You could also tell how relived he was when tlkaing baout working under the same O coordinator.
finally
Ricky - he just seems like he is so much more comfortable being a role player workign with the team rather than our NUmber 1 and pretty much only offensive threat. He jsut seems very relaxed and content. IMO.

Vontae is a lot easier to understand now. I don't know if he's slowed down, is less anxious & more relaxed, or whether I've just gotten used to deciphering what he's saying.

I think he's just less nervous now, I don't think he's really been speaking in front of a camera much up until he got drafted by us

I predict Eric Green will be cut before the Falcons game.

He'd still be better depth than Jones or J. Allen though, no?

What's his history as far as man coverage goes? Has he played a lot of man, or is that why he's getting toasted?

I don't know what he did at Arizona except get burnt alot and lose his job, which sounds similar to what has been going on here since ota's. parrot, greyhound or tedslimm might be able to answer your question.

He lost his job to a rookie last year and I think that's what will happen again this year. It would be nice if one of ours turns out as good as Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie has for the Cards. He shows that a rook can have instant impact at the CB spot if they are a special talent.

I think im one of the few who would not mind seeing J Allen outplay Green

Well a little late to earn something he was given in year one without earning it but props for trying to improve.

I enjoy listening to that guy. At first I was thrown a little off, but when I got used to him I noticed I started to click on his interviews before other players.

I laugh when he speaks. I am "not" laughing at him, I laugh because he seems like such an innocent kid with good intentions. I laugh at his excitement, so in a good way.

One thing is for sure is he is not boring to listen to. I remember when Jason Allen was drafted and he hated to say anything in depth. When Vontae is on, it seems like he wants to talk about everything. I like that personality better.

Sean Smith is the same way. His innocence and excitement just comes across. And he is a great interview. Both guys are always smiling and laughing too, and look like they are really enjoying themselves on the team. In comparison, Jason Allen always looked pissed off. When have you seen him genuinely smile or laugh ?

If you watch Vontae's introduction of the rookies interview, he replies with "sir" and "yes sir" when replying to that fat reporter. He shows some good respect, not like some other rookie clowns you hear out there from other teams.

Vontae's character issues were blown way out of proportion before the draft. I usually have a good feeling about these things. He's a family guy who looks down to earth and just wants to improve every day to help the team win. And is enjoying himself, and the team in the process.

It's not like those BS character issues that were reported involved weed, beating a girlfriend, breaking into homes to spy on women (Cecil Collins), carrying an illegal firearm, drunk driving, bar fights, or any of that sorta stuff.

No. Allen can be a backup at multiple positions. He's essentially 3 roster spots in one as well as being a good special teamer.

It sounds like we might have a pretty good group of DBs this year. It's great to feel confident about your DBs ... knowing they're going to have to cover people like T.O. and Randy Moss this year. Our DB coaches need to train 'em right during camp. They need to know their job inside and out. Make stars out of them for THIS year if possible.
