I'll start off by saying that I was a big fan of Gibson last year and thought he played well for us. He was solid. At the same time he coming off his patella tendon injury and that takes roughly 5 to 6 months to recover (for football activities). Which means he can START training in June. Either way his recovery is a big question mark. Considering we have a new OC, the slate is clean if we bring in a new guy as far as learning the offense. I would entertain the thought of replacing him with someone in FA.

A couple guys that come to mind to replace him are Andre Roberts (1st choice) or Emmanuel Sanders. I dont think either of these guys are going to get big bucks in FA and might be had for the right price.

Note: Cutting him would cost $3 Million against the cap this year. Keeping him would cost $3.7 Million this year.

I"d like to bring Sidney Rice his ACL should healed in time for training camp.

Don't think we need another injured WR

Rishard Matthews is my replacement for Gibson if Gibson cannot go.

I don't see any need to replace Gibson this year. We have way to many other positions that need addressd in free agency and the draft. Mathews will have to go if Gibson can't.

I don't wanna try and replace a guy with a nose for the football and instinctual skills for getting open. The dude has a knack that other players don't have. He's tough and has great saavy. He'll be alright.

Gibson plaged really well, had a good connection with the qb and was a redzone threat.... all in all replacing him would be one of the more moronic things we could do

Why in the world would you want to replace Gibson? Guy was fantastic prior to the injury. And while the injury was significant, it's not career threatening(unlike like Keller's injury). He'll be good to go.

I'm good on Gibson in the the slot again next season.

Gibson played his @$$ off. I have a lot of confidence in him. He stays if healthy.

NO! NO! NO! He was out best receiver and red zone threat just before his injury. He and Tannehill connected early. Tannehill has enough work to do getting on the same page with Wallace. Why would we want to make it harder for him? Gibson and Hartline have something special with Tannehill. I just hope he can come back and contribute. If not, Matthews is next in line.

Gibson was really performing much better than I think anyone expected before the injury. I have no interest in replacing him. We have Matthews and Binns (pretty sure Binns is still under contract) if Gibson isn't ready by opening day.

I love Gibson. He plays with great passion and heart. He wants to win, badly. Gotta do everything in our power to get him back in our lineup. It hurt really bad losing him last season. Remember his dive into the end zone. This team needs more of that.

Here's a name I haven't heard in a while. I thought Gibson was emerging as an excellent over the middle threat after Keller went down. I really hope he can pick up where he left off. I dont know the severity of his injury, but if he is not progressing through his rehab in time for TC, I would definitely look to add a #3 WR.

I really liked from what I saw of Gibson and this is coming from a guy that hated the signing, that play where he tried to extend the ball into the endzone tells me he's a very smart football player at the very least. Having said that we could still use another receiving weapon (preferably a dynamic TE) for competition/depth.
