Thoughts on the Stadium & Changes

You have to love the giant scoreboards and the electronic "band" around the stadium; the additional 200 field level seats; and the additions on each end that will come in the next year or so.

However, there are a couple of other features that I think really should be added. They should put an overhang (not too big) over all the upper deck seats. And, they should add even more seats along the field level.

The biggest problem in this stadium is the fan noise. Part of that is a product of a poor team and relatively mediocre attendence. But, it is also a product of a Stadium that lacks a "tight," close crowd feel. It just doesn't generate a lot of noise. I think the overhang might actually help keep some of the noise in the Stadium and adding 2/3/4 rows at the bottom would help also. Maybe that will happen permanently if the Marlins will finally get out of the Stadium.

thats a great point...we don't have crowd noise like when we were at the orange bowl...remember the 1985 game against the bears...they had to stop the game to quiet down the crowd...

I dont know if you all go to the games, or just STARTED going to the games, but basically, 2004 was the ONLY time we've had a BAD team in a while. & 2005, attendance was low cause everybody thought we'd be bad again. On a regular year that WE'RE EXPECTED TO BE GOOD, like this year, you will hear a LOUUUD Crowd for every game. I been going to the games for years now. There's not a problem with the noise.

However...I do still like alll those ideas. (overhang, extra seats on the field, etc..) I just dont get why people jump off the bandwagon so quickly or have trouble making noise all the time.

I wish i was Floridian i would go to every game and enjoy all the highlights on the big trinitron in HIGH DEFINITION. must be nice

I recall a game, back when Shula was still coaching, that the stadium was so lound when the offense was on the field neither team could hear and the Fins ended up getting a 15-yard penalty because of it.
