Pretty sure most are on board with trading down if we are not going to take a QB. Problem is you need someone to fall to 13 that warrents a trade up.

All I want is a d/lineman with our first & o/lineman with our second pick.so I don't care if we move down or not...….

I hope we trade down with the holes we have on the current roster. I believe Grier has said in a past presser that he would prefer 3 good players to one great player. If we take him at his word then I believe he will be looking to trade down to acquire an additional 2nd. I would really love to see them do this to fill a lot of our holes. Trading down could net us the NT from Clemson Lawerence, who we really need if we are transitioning to a 3-4 defense, in the latter part of the 1st and then McCoy , a center who I really like, along with either a DE, CB or guard with the extra pick.

I'm open to it, but yeah it very heavily depends who is on the board at 13. and it also takes two to tango, a team has to want to come up to our spot

Doubt your getting both there late 1st round picks 24 and 27 but they do have an early pick in the 2nd 35th I believe so pick 13 for Raiders picks 24 and 35 sound darn good to me

Precisely. When the top 3 QBs come off the board there's bound to be a very tasty treat waiting for us!

It could be quite interesting regarding a possible trade down -- if we go in that direction we need

excellent value! I'd be happy with a mid to lower 20s R1 and R2 in return.

The top 100 seems pretty robust for that kind of move.

But if we stay @13 we need to land an immediate impact starter.

Round 2 simply isn't valuable enough for me to drop down to the mid twenties. I want next year's 1st rounder and more to keep me from immediately hanging up.

Well R2 19 should = R1 20. But if you want more... Maybe too greedy to get 'er done?

Then I'm too greedy, because I think it's an Odrick level bad trade. Top ten level talent will be available at 13, so I want the trade to reflect that. Picks that typically end up in mediocre starters doesn't cut it for me. Also, the draft trade chart isn't all that useful, IMO.

Like many others have said, it's all about the scenerio at the time our pick comes up. I tend to think about this a bit differently though... I wouldnt trade with a good team that picking late for their first and a 1st next year, but I'd trade with a team that I think will be bad next year. For example... I'd trade this years first for Arizonas 2nd and next years 1st, but wouldnt trade this years first for NO's first this year and next.

Ross is a trade down type of owner, but no doubt we need to see who's on the board.

Having a trade down partener or two on stand-by is important.

Good for Grier in that article. He knew what Minkah would bring to this team and he stuck to his guns.

Depending on who falls to 13, I am in favor of trading down. I really like the options in the late teens and potentially early 20s.

CBS Sports has a 7 round mock draft on their site with a lot of trades, including Miami being active and swapping Reshad Jones for Solomon Thomas from San Francisco. If nothing else, it is an interesting read and could lead to a bit of daydreaming. Trading down ten spots in the first round with Houston and picking up an extra second round pick could lead to a couple of impact players, if they play their cards right.

But, like I said, a lot of this is daydreaming on the part of the writer and we have no idea what the front office is thinking at this point since they have been playing it pretty close to the vest.

The teams, I think, that may try to trade up are Washington, New York Giants, Oakland, Los Angeles Chargers, New England Patriots and Cleveland Browns.
