With many to choose from, I only have three which could make or break our season.

Albert, Grimes, and Wake. IF they play up to their Pro Bowl talent, they negate other questions. IF they do not, a playoff run is much more difficult, and other questions become much bigger.

Their play also has a HUGE effect on the direction the team takes next year in keeping them or moving on.

IMO, the team has somewhat of a backup plan for Albert in Turner. maybe one in OV for Wake but, nothing I can see for Grimes.

Opinions?

Our DBs will be the Achilles heel this year. the lbs will work itself out but i dont anticipate that happening with our corners

Very green at CB with Taylor (who's played maybe 6 or 7 games in 3 seasons due to injury), Bobby McCain and Tony Lippett (who's not ready anyway...needs a redshirt). I like Brice McCain but as the last two years have gone we've lost multiple CBs in a season and the depth right now isn't good. If we could rely on Taylor I'd feel different but that guy is so unreliable you just know he's going to get hurt.

I think the CB's will end up a strength. I like the fits and potential with them.

Injuries to the following players, in order of how much it would impact chances at playoffs, IMHO:

1) Tannehill
2) Suh
3) Albert
4) Grimes
5) Wake
6) Pouncey
7) Jones
8) Misi/Jenkins

Vigil has come out of nowhere to look like a legit NFL LB. McClain has done nothing after fans loving him for a few plays last year. Tripp is following in Misi's footsteps in being injured.

I like our Safeties, but if Taylor is hurt once again, that is a problem the DL may not be able to resolve.

IMO, it's not only the injury risk but for those three aging players to play up to their past standards. IF they do, I think we are in great shape to win a playoff game.

Legit in what way? That he can make a roster? Sure.

Legit as in he will be a difference maker this year? Nah.

Legit as in he belongs in the NFL. This year? Little chance but, could develop into something in 2016.

With Albert, playing up that standard is about injury (or recovering from it, rather) and re-injury. Wake and Grimes, not worried about them playing well. Wake will have a monster year simply because of Suh, even if without Suh you would have seen a drop-off. Grimes I'm not worried about either. These players are all extremely motivated and will be giving 110% this year. However, should something disappointing happen to completely derail this season of high expectations, I think the drop-off you're worried about would be more likely next season.

In other words, I don't want to see this newfound motivation and chemistry tested in that way.

Fair point. your other post was just insanely broad.

I think Miami's starting Mike linebacker next year comes from next year's draft.

First two picks should probably be corner and linebacker. Maybe free safety as well, depending on how well Michael Thomas and Walt Aikens play. Hell, I'd even say that our top pick could be a pass rusher. That can't be ignored considering Wake's age and OV's reported contract demands.

I agree, we're pretty young on offense with a lot of players still on their rookie contract... With the signing of Suh and most of our better players on D being on the wrong side of 30, we will need players on rookie contracts to contribute during Suh's time over in Miami...

I have mucho faith in our DL, the question I have is when these qb's get rid of that ball quickly, will our db's be able to cover appropriately?

Mines were and still are 1- linebackers 2-cornerbacks and 3-offensive line.
The questions are : are thee good enough and do we have enough depth...
