Placekicker Dan Carpenter (171,312 votes), offensive tackle Jake Long (207,114 votes) and outside linebacker Joey Porter (328,619 votes) all finished first at their respective positions in the AFC. In addition, running back Ronnie Brown (481,293 votes) was second, Patrick Cobbs (85,821 votes) was third among special teamers while Yeremiah Bell (36,021 votes) finished fourth at strong safety.

I think it's ridiculous Chad Pennington didn't make it, the guys having an amazing season. I know the AFC is full of star QBs but dare I say he is a key ingredient to our current success, and without it wouldn't be happening.

just means he wasn't voted a starter, he could still make the team though

Yeah, that was really disappointing. I thought he'd be in the top five at least. Oh well, maybe next season.
 
Dont worry just because the fans didn't vote for him doesn't mean he wont be in. Let Pennington lead the Fins into the playoffs and you will see he will be in there.
 
Man.. we've come a long way. You guys remember the newspaper saying that we didn't have ANY stars at the beginning of the season?

No where near as ironic as the Dolphins having more players voted into the pro-bowl last year than the entire NFC South.
 
the reason we're winning games is cause we are playing like a team instead of players acting like stars...it'd be nice to see some of those guys in the probowl but what matters most is for the team to keep winning.

Chad penningtons on pace to throw maybe 15 tds this season. right now he has 12 tds and 6 picks.

His TD/INT ratio is 2/1, which isn't that impressive. Pro bowl voting is mainly about stats, especially for QBs, and Penningtons aren't great.

Doesn't mean he's a bad QB, cause he's been great for us this season, but a superstar/stat sheet filler he is not.

He'll be an alternate, there was just to much good QB play around the league this year. Lets hope he wins MVP or comeback player of the year.
