Here’s a quick look at each: --The Dolphins are contemplating moving Pro Bowl center Mike Pouncey, possibly their best player on offense, to right guard. In other words they might shift Pouncey from the second-most important position on the offensive line to the least important position on the offensive line.
The Dolphins will get a better answer this week on whether moving middle linebacker Koa Misi inside was a wise choice. Misi, the weakside linebacker last season, was injured in the opener against New England and hasn’t played since.
Misi probably won’t play in the nickel package so his primary responsibility comes in the run game. Green Bay running back Eddie Lacy (66 carries, 266 yards, 4.0 yards per carry) hasn’t been good this season. He has one game rushing for more than 50 yards, but that came last week when he rushed for 105 yards against Chicago.
Strong safety Reshad Jones returns from his four-game suspension, and that could mean Louis Delmas, who had been playing strong safety, shifts to his usual position of free safety.
Accordingly, free safety Jimmy Wilson probably goes back to playing the slot defensive back in the nickel package.
