I am wondering about some of our former players and how good were they when i was young there wasnt such thing as a computor or Fin heaven so i couldnt follow the dolphins and get the knowledge that most fans have so i am a blind fin fan in a way but here is what I am curious about.

Is Mercury Morris in the Hall of fame ? is he in the ring of honor?

what was miami's best offensive team ? is it the 85 team ?

what ever happen to dt Daryl Gardener ?

who is the dolphins 5 best wide receivers?

I think O.J McDuffie reminds me of wr Rashaun Woods a favorite wr of mine.

Paul Warfield, Mark Duper , Howard Twilley and Chris Chambers our my favorite wrs

i wished that could have had Boldin, Welker, ocho Cinco and Chambers man what a group of wrs that would be.

who is you guys favorite wide receivers ? :rimshot:

Mercury Morris is not in the NFL Hall of Fame. He's also not in the Ring of Honor.

I would go with the '85 team as the top offensive team in our history.

Last I heard about Gardner he was in Denver. He also tested positive for steroids.

Top 5 Wide Receivers:

Paul Warfield
Mark Clayton/Mark Duper
OJ McDuffie

And I'll be a little bias here and throw Lamar Thomas on my list just because he's my boy from way back when. You can spot Lamar Thomas on Saturday's at Dolphin Stadium at W-22 Corona in hand.

Gardner went to denver tested positive and has major back issues.
85 had to be the best O.
best WR hard to say...

thats funny you mentioned Lamar Thomas I always liked him too and I liked the quote from Lamar

a reporter onced aksed Lamar , how does it feel having so many Thomas's on the team and Lamar said,
" I am the best looking Thomas on the team because , Thurman is old enough to be my grandpa , WR Cory Thomas is still a baby and Zach Thomas looks like fred flinstone "
i loved that quote.

shouldnt Mercury Morris be in the ring of honor ? I think him and Jensen and O.J. McDuffie ought to all be in the ring of honor.

It was actually the 1984 offense that was the best. The team scored 70 touchdowns that season and Marino threw 48 TD passes. Both Clayton and Duper went for over 1,100 yards and the offensive line was anchored by three pro bowlers in Dwight Stephenson, Ed Newman and Roy Foster.

Unfortunately, there wasn't enough defense to go with it:boohoo:

"You come into our house, you should get your behind kicked. You don't come into the OB playing that stuff....You can't come over to our place talking noise like that. You'll get your butt beat. I was about to go down the elevator to get in that thing.....I say, why don't we meet outside in the tunnel after the ball game and get it on some more? You don't come into the OB, baby. We've had a down couple of years but you don't come in here talking smack. Not in our house."

Lamar Thomas is an arrogant thug.

What was it in response to? It sounds like he's pretty annoyed there alright but maybe it was justified. Without knowing why he said it, it's difficult to make an opinion on it.

I dont know much about "Arrogant Thug" but I do know I wish every player on my team would talk/feel the same. Homefield advantage has as much to do with the mental aspect of footbal as it does with the weather and the fans.

please dont compare my beloved McDuffie to Rashaun Woods, that buster.

relax Adavie , Rashaun is a well loved player and a good man a lotof people around here loved that cat and besides you would be a bust too if your hamstring was completely torn like Rashaun's was he had a knucklehead for a coach and was forced to play with a complete torn hamstring and just a simple strain is hard for a lot of wrs to cope with.

I am not going to stop comparing O..J to Rashaun because they were both similar players and i would take Rashuan over half the wrs in the nfl today .

Not sure about the HOF, but I think it sucks that Mercury Morris is not in the Ring of Honor. He was an incredible offensive weapon, and one of the most exciting players of his era.

I am hoping that the dolphins could induct him onto the ring of honor.

here are three more players that should be mentioned as possible ring of honor canidates.

Jim Jensen
Tim Bowens
zach Thomas
