3 things we already know, but good to see a Boston paper with a positive article about the Fins..

1. The Dolphins can get after the quarterback. Some of Tom Brady’s worst games have come against the Dolphins, mostly because Miami has always been stout up front, ever since Jason Taylor arrived 17 years ago. Cameron Wake is coming off a bit of a down year with 8½ sacks but is still one of the best two or three pure pass rushers in the game, and he warrants consistent double-teams. Olivier Vernon benefitted from all the attention put on Wake last year and had a breakout season of 11½ sacks, and he is primed for an even bigger season. And the Dolphins get good interior pressure with Randy Starks, Jared Odrick, and newcomer Earl Mitchell.

2. Ryan Tannehill is developing with his weapons. Tannehill’s rookie season was a blur, and last year he had to work to get on the same page with newcomers Mike Wallace and Brandon Gibson. But Tannehill now has two years under his belt, and has all the familiar faces around him: Wallace, Gibson, Charles Clay, Brian Hartline, and Lamar Miller. Wallace didn’t quite have the breakout season Miami fans wanted, but the Fins return three players with 65-plus catches and 750 receiving yards. And Clay, who had 759 yards and six touchdowns last year at tight end, is on the verge of becoming a bona fide star.

3. The heat. No, not the team recently spurned by LeBron James. The heat — as in the weather — is a great home-field advantage for the Dolphins and is no joke. General manager Dennis Hickey came off the practice field Monday dripping with sweat, and that was just from standing on the sideline. The humidity punches you in the face right when you get off the plane in South Florida, and makes life hell for football players, especially at 1 p.m. on a Sunday early in September. The Patriots lost to the Dolphins in Miami last December, and don’t be surprised if they wilt in the heat this time.

Not trying to say your wrong but remember Tom Brady?
Bill Billicheat?
And they have a great nucleus even when they bring in a scrubbs.
Until their Coach and QB combo is gone their fans will never worry about Miami.
Lastly, they always make the Playoffs.. Funny while I was typing this, 104.5 the zone mention Brady and Bill are the winningest tandem in Nfl history now..

But I like the way you are thinking for what it's worth..

sorry typing while driving

If gronk is out as well thats another reason. The Patriots cant score with what I think will be a top 10 offense this season

You guys never learn don't you... lol

You mean how we beat them last year and nearly beat them the first meeting if our OC didnt abandon the run? Patriots are a thing of the past. The end of the era is near

thinking something is up with Solder. He played early but they ran to the other side and quick hit strikes where he barely touched his guy. then he's out. then comes back in shortly for basically nothing. then out for good. reports said he looked bad coming off the practice field the other day. OV gonna have a big day.

the new rules are made for NE to beat us, keep that in mind. not to mention goodell made sure he took two good players out in jordan and jones. yeah yeah, i know.

Good guy, good writer. Nice to see him still writing good stuff about us.

Well he took a good player out in Jones at least...

The rules don't hurt us the way I see it. Our corners aren't these huge physical guys who manhandle WRs. Our DBs , Grimes, Finnegan and Davis in particular excell at playing the ball. They have good ball skills and like to play the ball vs the WR. That's how you have to play corner now. Beat the WR to the ball

That's what I was thinking, as well. You would think that increased emphasis on illegal contact will help teams that have big, physical corners. Though with Cortland Finnegan, he could draw a lot of flags.

getting back to the article, it seems to me these last two preseason games, RT and co. have put the defense back on its heels and had them a little gased with hands on hips. So the heat aspect is something he is spot on about. It takes getting to brady and roughing him up a little and cover close range to take away his small game so he cant set up his big game with the pass rush on his ars.

too bad the refs will be all in for NE in this one. I predict 10 penalties on us all day with 5 coming in the first quarter.
