Rest of the Schedule

The rest of the Dolphins schedule is very favorable for the team. Their opponents have a combined record of 23-37-1. They play the rival Jets next week at home and can get to 4-4, something that a couple weeks ago didn’t seem possible. The team was down, but Adam Gase rallied the troops together and has given fans a little bit of hope moving forward. I believe the team will capitalize on these upcoming opponents.

[h=3]Healthy Offensive Line [/h] If the Miami Dolphins continue to protect Ryan Tannehill and give Ajayi massive lanes to run in, the rest of the season could be a breeze.

[h=3]Adam Gase[/h]Despite what some Dolphin fans may say, this man has changed the culture of this team. In my opinion, Miami is moving in the right direction. He made a decision in the beginning of the season to cut some players that he felt were not performing to his expectations. Each week Gase challenges players to perform.
If they do not perform, then he will bench you.

I went with

1) a new offense built around running the ball

2) Jay Ajaji

3) Adam Gase reading my posts and e-mails.

I agree it's way too fast to be thinking turnaround. Although I am not concerned it's Dan Campbell syndrome. Campbell definitely inspired the team last year. But he had to leave the X and O game planning to men not of his choosing. If Gase is starting to change the culture like Dan started to last year, Gase has the X and O acumen to go along with it. That was a major handicap for Dan.

Other teams are looking at their schedule and are happy a 3-4 team like Miami is on it.

If we win a few more and get a couple games ABOVE .500, then we can start to talk about playoffs
If we lose to the Jets, we do not belong in the discussion.

Very true old friend (I just turned 56 so I can say that, lol).

We have only "proven" that we can win two games with a running back rushing for 200 yards in each. Has anyone lost when their running back ran for 200 yards in a game?

I do have fears about Gase going back to pass first whenever a bump happens but....

Two weeks ago the Steelers did not know we would be lining up in the single back and semi I formations. They did not expect us to attempt more than 20 rushing plays. They practiced against a pass first, shotgun formation only offense and we surprised them and outplayed them. I do not think they expected a "tough" game. Honestly, if you had watched the film on this team until that game you would not be fightened. I'm sure the Steelers had a number of blitzs ready to hit Tannehill all game and Big Ben planned on passing for 300 yards.

And then we punched them in the mouth. Or as the way Mike Tyson put it:

So ok, we stunned the Steelers. Well, no way we are getting off so easy against Rex Ryan and the Bills. He knows us. But it is possible that him "knowing" us and McCoy not playing both hurt them. Who in their right mind who knows the Dolphins would expect them to have a run heavy offense two games in a row :rolleyes2:

But we are not fooling anyone now. But I'm good with that. And we can win our next 4 games. The Jets, Chargers, Rams and the 49ers. If we can win these 4 games, we can say we are a good team. And that will put us at 7-4. We could end up 2-3 the last 5 games but if we can go 3-2 we have a chance to enter the Play Offs.

I know I'm taking crazy but I had surgery today and i'm still wuzzy. I was told not to sign legal papers, drive, use machines or write posts on forum sites......

P.S All I wannna do is zoom, zoom zoom and the boom boom!

The only 'syndrome' going on, plus or minus, is the offensive line situation. Give us our starting five and we're an NFL football team. Take away Albert or Tunsil and we are a dumpster fire.
It's that simple.

That's cute.

Although if we can be consistently successful and dominate at times in the trenches on both sides, that's a formula that can win any ballgame.

I can think of 3 reasons why we won't. Give the playoff talk a rest, **** is old. We all know nothing ever works out the way it should for Miami.

Do you think the 4-1 Steelers were VERY happy to see a 1-4 team on their schedule before we played them? Or do you think the 4-2 Bills were ecstatic to see a 2-4 team on their schedule? How'd that work out for them? I say we smacked them right in face. This just goes to show you can't take ANY team for granted no matter what their record is. I know it works both ways, we can't look at our schedule and say "oh we've got 5-6 teams in a row with losing records" and assume we're going to win those games. Let's not act like we're a cake walk of a team...likewise, let's not act like any of our next few games (including the Jets) are gimmees!
