So i was reading that dolphin stadium is goimg through a 3 stage renovation progress. I read that during phase in 2010 to the dolphins would have to evacuate the stadium so that they can do the renovatons. where exactly would they go? And is adding the retractable roof the 2nd stage or the third? So i am assumeing since Mr. H. owns the stadium and is putting this much money into fixing it the Dolphins wont be leaveing miami for at least another 30yrs? And with all the issues with nameing rights, will adding a roof help us get a good deal? Why dont we have a sweet deal now?

wayne wants the stadium to be called dolphin stadium in order to brand it. so there will be no naming rights deals any time soon.

30 yrs is way overstating it, i think this money will really only last 10-15 at the most before wayne H is looking at alternative stadium options, whether that is down here or not, who knows

I think shortly after the stadium renovations that Wayne will look to sell the team. He will probably try and sell the team to someone who will keep them in Miami, but I think he mainly is concentrated on the stadium. No longer will the stadium be used just for football and baseball, but when the renovations are finished, concerts, conventions, etc. will be held there. Don't forget he will still have the Orange Bowl and Super Bowl being played there. For Wayne, there is probably more money in just keeping the stadium, then both the stadium and team.

The Dolphins will probably never move out of Miami, but I think Wayne is only going to hang onto the team a few more years.

There is nothing, absolutely nothing in writing that states they will put a roof on.

Everything is for sale at the right price but the Dolphins are his passion.

His son will take over someday but he most likely will keep the team. He can't keep the stadium if he sells the team. Only a fool would do that kind of a deal.

yea but that is exactly what wayne dreams of, selling the team but keeping the stadium. i dont think hell hold on to it long enough for his son to take over, he wants the ring to prove something to himself but 5-10 years of mediocrity and he might just lose that passion

This new stadium can put some pressure on Cam/Mueller to produce if the Dolphins are not playing well and it is half emptry during the games. Wayne has to be patient if that is the case because you know the media will have a field day.

That's exactly what he dreams of? Come on man, he did not make billions being stupid! He is building the stadium because he makes millions on SB's alone and as long as he is the owner of the Dolphins he will get SBs.

Does anyone know if they have plans to add additional seating closer to the sidelines? I.E. Somehow move the seats closer to the sidelines. The number one problem with Dolphin Stadium is that the fans are too far from the field.

thats not stupid, owning the stadium is where the profit is

No one will buy just the team, and rent the stadium because of what you just stated! It's not the only way to make a profit because of revenue sharing but the stadium is a huge part of how an nfl team makes it's money.

Thanks for proving my point!

Do you really think Wayne is even going to be alive in 30 years?
