Seeing as how we're still pre-Week 15 ... You're a tad premature.

Just saying.

I haven't researched it...but is the OP stating that wins over the Jets & Bills locks us in?

I think we better win one game at a time.

There are so many different possible scenarios, speculation like this is pointless.

Not sure about all of those things happening. I could see any of those teams losing this week. I think the Chargers have a real good shot of upsetting the Raiders same for the Bengals vs the Steelers.

its not true, we also need 2 denver losses to go with it

We clinch week 16 with wins against Jets and Bills, Broncos lose to Patriots in week 15 and Chiefs in week 16, and Steelers beat Ravens in week 16. Very possible

This is correct. We need to finish 1 game above Denver to beat them out. We lose the tiebreaker with them.

It's most certainly not a guarantee, but if we do win these next 2 games we have a very good shot of getting in. The help we would need to guarantee a spot before the Pats game would most likely be:
A loss each by the Ravens and Titans, and 2 losses by the Broncos. Considering their remaining schedules our chances of that happening are very favorable. But with that being said there's never any guarantee we take care of business when playing on the road in back to back weeks against division rivals in a very cold December. So this is all just something to keep in mind, and not something to bank on.

Yeah basically if the Dolphins win their next two and the Broncos lose their next two. The Dolphins are almost certainly in. Either the Steelers are going to end up with at least 6 loses or the Ravens are going end up with at least 7 loses since they play each other in a couple weeks. If the Dolphins, Steelers & Ravens all end up at 10-6 that would mean the Ravens would win the AFC North & the Dolphins would win the head-head tie breaker vs the Steelers.

What happens in that scenario if Denver is also 10-6? H2h is not used as a factor

If Denver also gets to 10-6 then Pittsburgh would get in, The Dolphins & Broncos would lose out due to a worse conference records. Steelers would be 8-4, Dolphins & Broncos would be 7-5. Denver needs to lose at least 2 more games for the Dolphins to have a chance to get in, unless the Dolphins win out.
