Three Up And Three Down - The Cheese Curds

how does grier still have a job? it is all part of the same problem. at least jordyn brooks called them out. add that to what deshon elliot said. it is so interesting, the players that play here know they are soft. i would love to be able to ask them what they think it is that causes the team to be soft? elliot implied it was the city of miami, which i agree with. that doesn't help. but i think there is more to the story, and it goes to the coach and the owner and the whole culture around here. anyway, nothing ever changes. i still think it is 80pct likely grier keeps his job.
When sporano was here, I thought the team was a mentally tough team. I thought they were a reflection of their coach.

Hard to come up with positives. I think Tua played well, especially considering the running game was non-existent, and the Green Bay pass rush was usually instantly in his face. He missed a few, at the end of the second quarter specifically, which probably cost Miami a field goal. But overall, Tua definitely wasn't the problem. You can argue that he didn't take many chances downfield, but GB did an excellent job at the backend, and double-teammed Hill.

Smith had another solid game. He is quickly rising among all-time Dolphin tight ends.

Late in the game, I saw Paul coming to push a runner forward. I know that's stretching things a bit, but for a team that seriously lacked anything physical that was good to see.

Washington has been coming on, but that fumble was a tone setter for what would be one of the worst games of the season.

The offensive line had a horrible game. The defense couldn't tackle. Lots of F grades throughout, including the coaching staff.
i didn't know Paul played. did he go in at LT or RT? was anyone hurt, or did they just rotate him in at the end to get him some snaps?

Lamm got hurt and Paul came in.
thanks. there is this too:

▪ The Dolphins allowed five sacks, and PFF blamed two of them on tackles Terron Armstead and Patrick Paul. Also, right tackle Kendall Lamm allowed four pressures in 40 pass blocking snaps before leaving with back and elbow injuries. Right guard Liam Eichenberg yielded three pressures, and center Aaron Brewer and left guard Rob Jones permitted two pressures apiece. Even though he allowed a sack, PFF rated Armstead as the Dolphins’ best pass blocker on Thursday. On a night that Miami ran for just 39 yards (2.8 per carry), PFF gave poor run-blocking grades to Lamm, Brewer, Eichenberg and Jones, with Jones ranked the worst run-blocker of every Dolphin who played an offensive snap Thursday.

Tua last step when he's allowed to call his own plays.Audible from plays when they bring the house.Or show different looks he can succeed.

we seem to do that a lot
Pro Bowl returner + Jason Sanders+ Danny Crossman ST unit = long kickoff returns
I have no idea why Crossman is still here. I mean, objectively speaking, his units are bad and have gotten worse each year of his tenure.

Replaced Lamm. I believe mid 4th quarter.
we are in a tough spot if lamm is hurt. paul is a developmental player, still hadn't fully learned to play LT. not easy to go to the other side and play RT, you have to flip your whole brain around. then god forbid armstead gets hurt, i don't even know what we could do. although we are pretty much at the point where it doesn't matter anyway sadly
