Tice fired

Think he takes a college job or goes somewhere else in the NFL as an assistant?
 
MINNEAPOLIS (Jan. 1, 2006) -- The Minnesota Vikings fired coach Mike Tice after a season-ending victory over Chicago on Jan. 1.

The team announced that owner Zygi Wilf would not renew Tice's contract less than an hour after the Vikings' 34-10 win over the Bears in the regular season finale. Tice, who finished his fourth full season with a 32-32 record, had already addressed the media before the move was made public.

His tenure was mostly marked by streaks and scandals, with a $100,000 fine levied last summer against him by the league for scalping his Super Bowl tickets and a wild boat party during the team's bye week this season that produced misdemeanor charges for four players.

After starting 2-5, the Vikings won six straight before losing two in a row to fall out of contention for the playoffs.

I think he will get a job in the NFL, if not i think hes done coaching, i dont think he will go to college
 
Well, he's been there for 4 years and the Vikings have done squat. They made the playoffs only one time when they snuck in with an 8-8 record (last year.)

I think he'd make a great assistant somewhere, and could probably pick up a good collegiate job.

If Linehan gets a Head Coaching job, maybe Tice is our new Offensive Coordinator:lol:

i think he will get a job in the NFL probably not as a head coach though.maybe denny green could use his help in arizona as a assistant.but i think he wuld go to college.didnt last year he have some interest in the washington HC job.i dont think he made enough with minny to just quit if he doesnt get a NFL HC gig.he would probably be better suited for college.

His contract was up wasn't it? So that would mean technically he hasn't been fired he just hasn't been resigned lol
 
Yeah, his contact officially ended today.
 
I like Tice, hes no Vince Lombardi but he seemed like a decent guy, I hope he lands on his feet somewhere. I think he would be great at a decent college program, maybe not a powerhouse like Miami or Texas or USC but at a decent program he could recruit some kids and win some games. Id rather have him than Wannestadt thats for sure.
 
Dennis Green will hook him up in Arizona.

The guy had to be a babysitter for a bunch of whining a-holes like Moss, Cullpepper, Onterio, ...etc. He got an unfair shake up there.

He will be an assistant for a couple years and get another shot somehwere else
