Justin Holland - QB - Colorado State

From Rivals.com:

Could be the sleeper of this quality QB class if he makes the necessary improvement in most areas. With a patient team and a learning curve that allows him to understand his progressions better, improve his overall decision-making, develop as a passer and learn a pro offense, he could be a pleasant surprise over time and may be the best late pick in this class.

Hope he turns out to be a gun

Maybe he could be the next QB superstar, im sure Culpepper could teach him a few tricks.

No offense to the poster, but man, what a hilarious blurb. The worst QB in college could be good if they did all that.

I was thinking the same thing..... lol :sidelol:

QB's Justin Holland and Erik Meyer were both on my list for UDFA's or 7th round picks. Garrett worked both players out in Florida and then traveled to Colorado to meet and work out Holland a second time. Obviously Saban went with big bodies in the 7th as is his preference and got Holland to sign UDFA.
  • Strength - Good athlete, mobile and can throw on the run...accurate.... smart and hard worker that wants to get better..... a team leader with top intangibles..... a bit of a gunslinger.... had outstanding senior campaign.
  • Negatives - Average size 6'2" 217lbs... can be inconsistent at times.... will stare down targets....will force some throws.... needs to be developed and reigned in... underrated prospect that could surprise
It may take 2-3 years but the upside on this kid is very solid.

If Saban likes this guy that much he certainly bears watching, sounds like he's got a lot of upside potential.

In Saban We Trust!
