I have always been a fan of TE Ben Troupe since his college days. How about bringing him in to compete for our starting spot. He has great hands, speed and would make a great recieving threat for Beck. He would be relatively cheap so what are your thoughts?

If he can't block...forgetaboutit. Parcells wants run blocking TE's first and foremost.

With Carlson's 4.89 40 he may be there at 32. I would be pleased with that. Physical tight end, that I believe can stretch the field as well.

i want him bad. there are no TE's i want in the draft and he will come pretty cheap. he's young, fast, has ggod hands, and is a decent blocker. he's blocking has fallen off a bit since he got in the NFL, but he should be able to pick it back up. if only for an extra receiving threat i want him.

I hate this idea. Troupe has shown nothing since coming out of UF. He looked like a beast in college, but I think he was getting by on athletic talent. I just haven't seen him turn into a good player.

Instead, I would target Troupe's teammate, Bo Scaife. Scaife has developed into a reliable target for the Titans. He's more athletic than he gets credit for, and he doesn't blow a ton of assignments. In the Titans run-heavy offense, he acquits himself well as a blocker.

troupe has been misused in tennessee - and that is an understatement. i don't even know why they drafted him if they couldn't utilize his strengths. he is an excellent receiving tight end that does need some blocking work - but who on our present roster doesn't?

Really? There are quite a few potential stud TEs in this draft.

I'd love to have Troupe here, if only he could stay healthy.

You just said it yourself...... the Titans have a "Run Heavy Offense" and have not utilized Troupe prpoerly. Given the chance in Miami and if we get him the ball I believe he can have a breakout year!
